He uses the hours spent on Forest Hill fire department related business while working for Alexandria to justify hours worked for his Forest Hill pay.
Sounds like he is double dipping. Working for Forest Hill and earning a salary while Alexandria pays him to be a fireman.
Just one of the any "arrangements" by the illage Mayor. Some how she managed to get a street servicing only the family nursery and another street servicing family rental property overlaid "with left over black top" from a road project paid for with grant money while many Village streets go unrepaired.

Last Forestry Festival the Forest Hill Volunteer Fire Department equipment had access to the parking places blocked off from the General Public. The volunteer firemen could not even get parking passes to park there but two of Fire Chief Tim West's "male" friends from Baton Rouge were granted special permission to park there.
These are the two friends that, supposedly Tim was entertaining on the weekend with Forest Hill Volunteer Fire Department money. Forest hill finally passed an ordnance providing for a committe to oversee Tim's spending and the fun has gone from an approximate negative $10,000.00 balance to a plus approximately $20,000.00 balance because Tim can no longer entertain his friends in Baton Rouge.
The postings havn't even gotten good yet. Wait until we get to the part about the Town Clerk and her daughter soliciting contributions for the Nursery Festival from Nursery owners and taking a percentage of the money donated as personal payment.
Oh and we havn't even explored the desired transfer of the Forestry Festival to the Mayor's family owned property out of the city limits. The Young's want to move the festival to land in the middle of land owned by their daughter. Talk about giving all the Nursery owners an fair chance.
WE still have to talk about Tim's coke money from the last festival and his accountability for income. The Mayor claims the audit was clean - it was if you don't know how much you started with, how much you took in and what the expenses were it is hard to audit.
Wouldn't the "excess" overlay from Forest Hill's Blue Lake Road overlay project served more citizens by being laid on the City's portion of Butter Cemetery Road instead of on the roads the Mayor has a personel interest in?
That portion of Butter Cemetery is full of potholes, patches, bumps, etc while the DYN enterprises have smooth, nice road.
The Forest Hill Volunteer firemen would take vacation or other types of personel time off to work the Nursery Festival. If Fire Chief West was scheduled to work at his fireman job for the City of Aexandria a replacement was hired in order for him to work the Festival. He was paid as Fire Chief of Forest Hill, as a fireman for the City of Alexandria and it also cost to hire a replacement for him. He must be important.
I wonder what the occupations of his two "he" friends from Baton Rouge are? Wonder if they are in advertisement such as billboards?
The Forest Hill Volunteer Fire Department (read Mayor, Fire Chief and Alternate Mayor) applied for and received a FEMA grant for fire fighting equipment. The request specified each and everh piece of equipment to be purchased. Upon receipt of the grant the money was not used completely for the specified reasons. Two lap top computers were purchased - one being used by Tim West for internet access while working for the City of Alexandria and the other by the Alternate Mayor Mary Pringle. Mary uses this lap top to run quick books for bookkeeping for her nursery customers. Use of a computer purchased with federal funds for operating a personal business. And people don't understand why the firemen are upset. The City Clerk gets fire department equipment to use in her private business. What happened to the rest of the grant that was not spent for the intended purposes. Bet FEMA would lik to know this as much as they have been urnt lately.
The Village of Forest Hill should remember that it was the Town Clerk of Ball that cut a deal with the feds when Ball's mayor's games were exposed. Mary remember that so you will have a chance when your left holding the bag.
As a visitor to the Forest Hill Nursery Festival for the last several years, I would hope that the Festival is moved to a larger site. The success of the Festival has resulted in crowded lanes in the nursery display area.
As for the other problem facing the fire department, I don't have a dog in that fight.
Mayor left for and is in Costa Rico while the Village of Forest Hill has no fire protection. Seems as though she cares about the citizens

He obviously does not find the provisions about his responsibilities to monitor and enforce laws being ignored by the council. Mayor Roy's possible conflict of interest regarding the Cleco lawsuit has been examined and no wrong doing found. The 'Brothers" are pulling out all the stops, again and again, to bring the Mayor down.

As it turns out, most of the talk is just that. I return to my original observations that our population has decreased with the quality of life and nothing on the horizon holds promise to change that trend. People in this area just don't know or desire any better.

Good editorial this week in the Town Talk about Roosevelt Johnson. I hope he can bring the council and the mayor together. One thing is for sure, nobody works any harder than Roosevelt. He knocks doors 365 days out of the year. If he can bring both sides together, then we NEED him to run for mayor. Maybe we would finally get things moving forward in this city and not just a bunch of hot air.
Rosevelt does work hard. Unfortunately, he only has a passing acquaintance with the truth and is dumb as a rock. We have a good mayor.

Rosevelt, might I suggest that you hire a proof reader or English interpreter. AND Lets move forward to a BRIGHTER COUNCILMAN.
Shut up and leave Johnson alone. If the new council committee assignments don't prove that he is about moving the city forward, nothing will. He is showing truly responsible leadership.
In my judgement, Roosevelt Johnson would not necessarily make the best mayor unless he understands that he has his limitations and relies on a coalition of advisors. His appointment to city council president is an opportunity for the citizens to view Roosevelt Johnson in action. I have to say that I am betting on his success because he has displayed that through keeping an open mind, positive attitude and sheer, grinding, hard work, that he has accomplished some clear goals, both personal & public.
He has displayed the ability to develop independant alliances with other council members without drastic confrontation and I am proud of him. If he can make his spirit contagious, it is possible to minimize racial tensions that continue to plague this city. I have felt it all of my life and often wondered when enough would be enough. Hopefully, the fact more people are comfortable voicing their opinions, regardless of how rough they may sound, true cooperation can begin to grow.

Sadly, Fred Baden is gone. I DO feel sympathy for the family he leaves behind. No person in his right mind would wish this type of grief on another.
However, don't believe for one second that Fred Baden was a prince of a man. Yes, he did some good for Pineville, but he also abused his power as mayor and used his office for personal gain. Fred was a man who would smile at you while attempting to place a knife in your back. He was a mean, vindictive man who ran roughshod over the people of Pineville, winning elections through intimidation and pay-off. He was a man drunk on his own position and power, handing out political favors like Christmas candy to those who would bow down and kiss his robe.
His own daughter claimed to have been molested by him. He engaged in an extramarital affair with a city employee, whom he later married, kept on the city payroll, and funneled city cash to by creating lucrative city jobs that he had her fill. I seem to recall a Christmas Parade Director position that she filled to the tune of $30,000 per year.
Fred did some fine things for the City of Pineville, but Fred was nothing more than an ordinary man, who defined the old saying... "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." In the end Fred became a corrupt small town official who was thrown from office when the voters discovered what he truly was.
We all morn the loss of any human life, but let's not create a saint out of man who betrayed his public trust over and over again.
And what did you do to stop Fred?

As a lifelong resident of Pineville, I was there when Fred first ran for office and watched every controversy of the Baden tenure unfold.

I can assure you that he and Fred often engaged in very heated arguements. The comment about the lost tooth and stitches is true. The altercation took place in front of the fire station behind city hall.
Although Fred has passed, the other gentleman in question is still VERY much alive.

He was speaking about US Representative Rodney Alexander.
Apparently Greg is some sort of College Degree snob, imposing his twisted little standards on those that have earned a degree. He believes the HIS degree is BETTER than Alexander's.
Perhaps the value lies within the person himself. For all of Greg's crowing about his LSU Law Degree, a quick review of Greg's accomplishments reveals that he has done little to be proud of. His law practice failed and his one time partners washed their hands of him. He is despised by the local bar. He has a disciplinary board file several inches thick, his best known role is that of a Klansman...in short Greg Aymond is pond scum.
Alexander's accomplishments are of a far more admirable nature. Alexander is a respected businessman, former police juror, state representative and is currently a sitting United States Congressional Representative. All without a college degree.
See Greg, a college degree cannot earn you respect, guarantee success or bestow honor to someone who is nothing more than human debris. You should know that. But you continue to blunder through your wretched life, blaming everyone else for your own lack of redeeming qualities. What a disappointment you must have been to your parents and what an embarrassment you are to an otherwise respectable family.

Looks like Team Aymond/Terrell were working together as recently as 2007 according to an opinion on the Third Circuit.
From reading the opinion it seems that Team Aymond/Terrell were attempting to get some sort of shady contract enforced in a divorce case.

Although we all agree that both Aymond and Hooper are scum, I believe some of you missed the pitch where Aymond's motivation is concerned.

There is much discussion about the Roy Promises vs. Roy Accomplishments. Conspicuously missing from these discussions is the implementation of the expensive study of the police department and the vital and immediate changes in store for the protection of life and property of Alexandrians. This appears to be another one of the useless expensive studies that Roy railed against. Nothing done. Situation still the same with a backward department and crime-ridden streets. What a shame. Roy seemed to have such promise.

No...you're NOT a smart lawyer. If you were you would be familiar with certain state requirements concerning non domestic LLCs. The previous poster is right on target. New Mexico allows formation of LLCs without listing members or officers of the LLC. The allow the use of "Agents" and those agents cannot be compelled to reveal their clients.

You have a judgment debtor exam and the debtor has to declare his assets under oath. He can be required to produce records and documents. If he lies under oath, he has a brand new set of problems.

In plain English, Hooper can use the assets, enjoy the assets, and even profit off the assets without ever OWNING the assets. If, however, he does profit from the use of the assets, those profits ARE subject to seizure.
Aymond’s task is to locate the profits, and PROVE that the profits BELONG to Hooper. Otherwise Aymond gets nothing because Hooper OWNS nothing.

When are the Democrats going to realize that Scott Brown's election was not just a rejection of President Obama's health care plan, but a rejection of Obama's entire presidency?
The Town Talk buried this story as deeply as they could without putting it in the Classified section. Two things amazing about this story: that a town that has half the population of LSU Tiger Stadium has the cadre of info spinners like Ken Juneau and Lamar White; and that this downtown economic initiative that Roy touts as the salvation of our city, is put on hold while he goes to a party. What a joke(s).
So virtually all of the projects to revitalize downtown, including the hotel deal, are perched within rock throwing distance of the decertified and unreliable levees. This will bump up the cost of everything. Can the hotel deal take another hit or will we have to fork over for the flood insurance increase?
Where are our officials when this problem is sneaking up on us? At Washington Mardis Gras or hustling their doomed hotel deal? I like the comment that compared Roy to Nero.
Roy's mouthpiece Little Lamar expalined how everything is our fault on Lamar's blog site.
I just hope the other blogs pick up the "Nero Roy" label and it sticks.

Wow. Lots of hatred here. Not much has changed. My prayer warriors down here in Ball are forming a prayer chain right now so we can protect people from all the Republican hate. Some of you really need to find Jesus.
Aymond has made himself a public figure through his blog, high profile cases against government officials, Klan membership, racist comments, legal defense of members of the white supremacist the list goes on and on. Aymond SEEKS the spotlight regardless of the glare. Sometimes he is justified in his actions. Most offen his quests end up in abject failure...still he gets what he craves the most, attention. Without a doubt, Aymond is a narcissist of the first order.
Recently his efforts have been noticed by a few other "news groupies" who also share his love of the spotlight.
They too long for public attention and will, like Aymond, use speculation, rumor, and out and out falsehood to grasp the spotlight.
Aymond has been mentioned in broadcast and print media often enough to be considered a public figure.
Well, is the council going to approve going forward to settle with Cleco or not? Stay tuned.

We here at Jacques Barack have a public service announcement for some in our audience (you know who you are). We can't help but feel bad for some men who were born with, uh, a lot less than some other brothers. If we've heard Mo'Nique say it once, we've heard it a thousand times - men make up for their lack of endowment by taking it out on others. Are you less endowed than you'd like to be? Are you frequently bitchy and irritable? Do you have feelings of inadquacy? Have you caused anyone to be fired because of these feelings of inadequacy? Have you driven to a radio station more than 3 times in the last 2 weeks?
If so, you probably need male enhancement. We highly sugggest googling about male enhancement or visiting your family doctor and you too can be like Bob.

This is great. Jacques is running that black lady to assure that Rosevelt doesn't win and Rosevelt is running Coco to split Jacques white vote. Finally an interesting race. Now if we could just get Dr. Sams back in it.
If you don't like the Roys, then you need to help cut out their political funding. The Antoons and Roys are family and they give to both Roy boys whenever they run. The Antoons own the local Popeye's, Outlaw's and Taco Bueno.

Coco just posted big news on the Union Bank on his blog. Looks like the bank is in trouble and has entered into an agreement with the FDIC. Say what you want but at least Coco was trying to get the news and not the politicians spin to us when he was on KSYL.

Look at the three names being mentioned to run against roy (von jennings, coco and johnson). Lets be honest, Von Jennings doesn't have a prayer. But either Coco or Johnson would be way better than Roy! Roy is a very liberal socialist obama wanna-be who thinks it is his "God Given" right as mayor of alex to tax and spend the city into the ground! And anyone who does not see EVERY detail in the EXACT same way that he does is beneath his mental capacity. A mayor is an administrator of a city and he/she is "hired" by the citizens of that city. Real mayors actually realize that they work for those citizens...Roy thinks that we all work for him!!! Both Coco and Johnson would at least understand this basic element. Roy has ALL the worst qualities that an elected official should have (1) half nuts (2) hot-headed (3) close-minded (4) little man complex (5) holds grudges...and oh did I mention HALF NUTS!!! Anyone but Roy in 2010!!
Mayor Roy is a decent, good man and has been a good mayor. My family and I will surely vote for him again.

When you talk about the mayor's race around town, a few people I have talked to think that roy has done a good job, but NOBODY I have talked to thinks he is a good and decent man.
I am not Lamar, you don't know everything. Just a member of Alexandria voting community and a taxpayer...Mayor Roy is a good mayor and we will vote for him again. Now we need to forget about hotels and put all energy on levees and keeping our town from flooding.

I am not Lamar and I plan on voting for Mr. Roy again. He has done a great job. You are trying to blame him for things that are not his fault, but he is working to correct. The Levee problem started before he was elected. The CLECO lawsuit started before he was mayor.

I am going to say this as slowing as I can. READ THE POST THAT IS NOW 9 POST ABOVE! It says that at least the other candidates would realize that they work for us and not the other way around. That would at least be a HUGE start. Roy is just like the child story "The Emperor Has No Clothes" where the only people roy will allow around him are "yes men" who will never question his dumb ideas and lies. They know that if they question him, he will get them fired. Those type elected officials are the worst and have to go asap.
The way I see it, Roy's main enemies are
Steve Coco. Steve's on the Police Jury and was getting free radio ads for his business in exchange for his free radio show. Right? The station fired Coco from his free gigs. Coco blamed Roy and then announced he was running for mayor of Alexandria. Now he spends his time trying to incite runs on local banks and attacking other officials on his blog.
Patrick LaCour. He used to work for CLECO and then he wanted to work for Roy. Roy didn't hire him. Now LaCour spends his time trying to convince people he knows more than anyone else about the city and CLECO.
Greg Aymond. An out-of-work attorney who lives off of his disability checks and spends his time begging people to pay attention to him and his blog. He's mad because Roy doesn't fax him his daily schedule. This impairs his cognition and reading/writing comprehension skills.
LaCour, Coco, and Aymond all work together.
Von Jennings. She never showed up for work and then she was fired. Now she spends her time playing victim-hero-mayoral candidate with the hope that she can finally get Bridgett her cut of the CLECO case.
Roy has more credibility in his little finger than all of these people combined.

The slate for mayor is probably not very complete. There are a lot of considerations. Will our insurance go up $5000 per household because of the levee problem and how much blame does Roy's inaction deserve; many predict that Roy will again go back on his word and settle out with Bridgett Brown to buy her off and neutralize her for the election (the consequences in the white community will be catastrophic); how badly will Roy and Silver stick the city on the downtown hotel deal - lots of watchers and skeptics including (former) pro-Roy people; what will be the public perception of and reaction to the Cleco deal.
I know of several attractive candidates who are waiting and monitoring developments to decide if they will run. They mostly talk about Roy's bleak future after a Bridget Brown sell-out and the need to protect the city from any number of potential candidates that could fill the vacuum created by Roy's perceived dishonesty, arrogance, and poor performance. Wait and see.
