It is an accurate description of Aymond.
Two observations:
1. The Mayor is authorized several mayoral assistants. One would assume Mr. Thompson could fill one of those positions in his alleged new assignment.
2. The Charter cannot be amended specifically. A vote of the people would simply convene a Charter Commission. That commission could then amend any provision of the current charter. The new charter would then be presented for the people to vote up or down on a whole.
Let's see if Greg deletes this one.

Cenla Alex, in his/her blog declares "I drove through downtown Alexandria Saturday Night" and there is nothing to fear or cause one concern. Not true. I work downtown and the area has many unfortunate "street people" who dwell under bridges and in the shadows of downtown buildings, structures and bridges. There is at least one homeless person that regularly sleeps in the flower beds that border the utility office. There are many mentally ill persons that wander the streets and shadows of downtown and live in a pergatory between jail, the streets, and the Salvation Army. For Alex to drive down 2nd Street and then vouch for the safety of folks venturing downtown at night is not only foolish, it is irresponsible.

Aymonds rarely gets anything right factually. But he does do an excellent job taking the facts and spinning them so they will fit his twisted view of the world.
Nearly everything he has written about Water Works #3 is wrong as is his blatherings about Jimmie Faircloth, Mayor Fields, Rich Dupree, Jamie Floyd, Buck Lincecum, Joe Bishop, Richard Starling, Etc.
