Are you up to it?

This year we start another round of statewide and local elections.

This year we will elect a new Governor. Current polls place 1st District Congressman Bobby Jindal at the top, polling above 60%. Governor Kathleen Blanco isn't mustering half of that percentage.

From what I have "web garnered", the voting public is unhappy with the entire current top tier of government, with the exception of State Treasurer John Kennedy.

On the local level, we will be electing/re-electing State Senators, State Representatives, Coroners, Tax Asssessors, Police Juryman, Clerks of Court and Sheriffs.

So far candidates announced are Glenn Beard for State Rep Dist. 25; Herbert Dixon, State Rep Dist. 26. The big race looks to be the Sheriff's race (Rapides Parish). William Earl's retirement leaves a field of three vying for the job: Mike Slocum, Bill Robinson and Chuck Wagner. Already my ears have heard the rumblings of what may turn out to be a rough race. The dumptrucks are being prepped.

Anyone care to guess who will take the elections?

I'll take a few of the easy guesses. Dixon will probably win. McPherson will win, and Farrar and Slocum have huge monetary advantages. Who knows in the Beard/Vitter race? The entire police jusry is also up for re-election. Its gonna get wild.

Is Fields incapable of answering for himself? Why did he meet with the press at Faircloth's office? Mayor Fields said he has known about the case for some time, so why couldn't he answer questions? Why did Mayor Fields tell others that he had called that press conference?

Can we please find someone to run against Herbert? And with the Jury all running let's find a way to get rid of Fuller!

I'm hearing Lance Maxwell is running for Charlie's seat as well and has already counted the votes, packed his bags and looking for a new place to call home in Baton Rouge. We need new blood, but come on people don't force me to choose Beard over the youngster.

U.S. District Judge Dee Drell today laid out in a court order the process by which reports of the Cleco Corp. audit will be distributed, and set the schedule for mediation this month.

Drell’s order follows a conference call this past week among attorneys and Drell that did not include lawyer Bridgett Brown. In 2005, Brown entered into a contract with Alexandria that stipulated she would receive 10 percent of the final payment, if any, from Cleco to the city.

The audit and mediation are an attempt, after years of discussion and lawsuits, to determine whether Cleco owes Alexandria ratepayers money from past electricity transactions.

Following Wednesday’s conference call – in which Cleco’s attorneys, Alexandria’s two Baton Rouge attorneys and Mayor Jacques Roy participated – Drell today issued strict guidelines on how the drafts of consultant KPMG’s report would be distributed and to whom.

The guidelines were agreed upon during the conference call Wednesday.

The attorneys for both sides, Drell said, are to distribute copies “on a need-to-know basis ... only to such persons who are essential to decision-making” in the mediation.

No one, the judge said, is to speak openly about the contents of the draft.

Drell also said there should be a “round table” conference this week to clarify components of the report.

By March 12, both sides will submit questions to KPMG, and by March 16 attorneys will deliver a “position paper” to Robert Dampf, a Lake Charles attorney hired to mediate the case.

Mediation will begin on March 25 in Lake Charles and continue to March 26 and after if needed.

By March 30, results “shall be submitted under seal” to Drell “unless ordered released by the court,” the order states.

Either side can withdraw from talks at any time.

“We’re going to continue working through the process,” Cleco spokesman Mike Burns said today.

Meanwhile, Brown’s status in the case is unclear.

Reached by cellular phone this past week and today, Brown said she was busy and would call The Town Talk shortly. She never returned those calls or another message left with her secretary this past week seeking comment.

Brown was included on Alexandria’s list of attorneys in a court filing on Feb. 23.

Questioned this past week about Brown’s status, Mayor Roy said, “We will not engage in any discussions regarding the city of Alexandria versus Cleco case or any personnel matters related to it.”

Looks like Bridgette has been kicked to the curb by Jacques. Dat splains why da council wuz tryin to git Kelvin back on da case. They beez needin a lawya to represent dem in da CLECO case.

Anonymous said...

Wait... hold the presses... Jacques Roy fired Bridgett Brown?

My oh my. I never thought he could do it.

Thank you Mayor Roy for saving the people of Alexandria an additional 10% of the money owed to us and eliminating a political appointee.

Isn't that right? If she wanted 10% and she is off the case now, doesn't that mean more for the rest of the city?

Anonymous said...

Yes, yes, I believe it does.

I thought Farrar was termed limited out??????

He has one more term.

Anonymous said...

The term limited are "Bo" Curtis and Charlie Dewitt.

Running for Bo Curtis' seat are Herbert Dixon and possibly Kevin Dorn.

Running for Charlie Dewitt's seat so far are Lance Maxwell and Glenn Beard.

David Vitter is a U.S Senator and not up for election this year.

A client may fire a lawyer anytime they want to. That will end the contingency fee percentage, however that lawyer will still be entitled to a fee based upon the amount of work her or her did which led to the ultimate settlement or judgment. So, if Ms. Brown was terminated, she will be entitled to some fee, but the amount is presently uncertain. It should certainly be less than ten percent.

Anonymous said...

Bridget never thought she could be terminated and said so to any one who would listen. She never understood the law or the charter. She just jumpted when Myron snapped his fingers.

Anonymous said...

What makes Greg Aymond so knowledgeable about clients firing lawyers? Is that a bona fide speciality?

Anonymous said...

sounds like Roy borrowed some plays from Brewer's play book. BB had to of known she was gonna get the axe eventually.

Anonymous said...

I would still love to see the original ruling from the hey hey board that said the council could hire an attorney who is a tenant of one of the council members in the first place. Something tells me they never got one.

Anonymous said...

What makes Greg Aymond so knowledgeable about clients firing lawyers? Is that a bona fide speciality?

Very witty of you. I think I have only been fired by clients a couple of times in over 20 years in pactice. The most recent of which was when I refused to assist in covering up Roy Hebron's publically paid for $10,000.00 waterline.

I think Chris Hazle (not sure on the spelling) is planning to run against Rick Farrar. From what I've heard, there's alot of people in that district that want Farrar out.

It's my understanding that they ran the main, in the servitude, up to Hebron's property.

I don't think so. You say that was a water line for Roy Hebron?? Hmmmmm. That seems like it could be of questional legality. Has anyone looked into it?

If you racist slime balls believe that Brigett Brown is out of the CLECO case then you are all ridiculously stupid. For some odd reason, (RACISTS) you all are so interested in the fact that she WILL obtain a percentage from the case. Have you conducted any research to determine what percentages a number of other attorneys will receive...PROBABLY NOT. The comments about her are unnecessary and without merit. And for the record, if you are all so dissatisfied with the Council (RACISTS) then run against them...exactly....they aren't going anywhere as was evident in the last election. GET A LIFE....

Anonymous said...

you racist slime balls

Actually Bridgett herself, and black politicos such as Lawson, Fuller and Sanders, are the true racists. I know for a fact that Bridgett first got into City work simply because of her race. Then Black politicians tried to use their influence to get her into other governmental bodies and their project, particularly bonds. So the actual racists in all of this were Black, not White.

Anonymous said...

The city council is there but they aren't in control anymore. Myron has gotten his ass handed to him everytime he tried his strongarm very racist tactics. This ain't the old days when Bridget can insult and offend and demand and Ned and Delores run and hide. Jacques put the council in its legal place and the whole city is grateful and supportive. The rest of the council problem is that now Roy, an intelligent educated legally trained and idealistic firebrand, is taking very close looks at privious council activitity and I am told that the stench is pervasive. Mayor Roy made it clear that he is in charge and not tolerating "one inch" of council bullshit. I have hope again.

Anonymous said...

just because i think that some lawyers with contengency fee contracts should be fired from the case does not make me a racist. you are the racist. why does everything have to be about race. could it be that she (BB) is in the pocket of some influencial community leaders and does not deserve to get 10% of the cleco settlement? i think so.

Why is it that whenever a minority does something unethical and and gets called on it that the finger pointers are racist. i guess you would call me a racist for disagreeing with william jefferson and how he froze his assets.

Anonymous said...

hold on now. Delores tried to stand up to BB. this whole thing started when she (Delores) brought it up in the runoff. Ned hid but not Delores. you act like Jacques is some kind've trailblazer on this issue. he is only executing what delores brought to your attention. how easily you forget.
don't you remeber the imfamous "lie" that in which Delores was accused of?

Anonymous said...

Bridgette is a snake, plain and simple. I am glad she's gone.

is it true that Brown pees standing up?

Anonymous said...

white or black, i never understood why bridget brown was placed on the cleco case. she has no experience with this kind of litigation. plus, the fact that she rents and works in the same building owned by a city councilman is suspicious. white or black, when a mayor talks about government transparency, there shouldn't even be a perception of unethical behavior.

Anonymous said...

Delores tried to stand up to BB. this whole thing started when she (Delores) brought it up in the runoff.

BS. Delores got into a televised argument with Brown and was caught lying on television about a meeting in Baton Rouge. We didn't buy that crap during the elction, and we don't buy that crap now.

Anonymous said...

Delores lost her match with Brown by a gigantic margin. Brown really is a pretty good trial lawyer. She just lost track of reality. She thought that nothing mattered except Lawson's sponsorship. She owes everything she has to Lawson largess. Kelvin is the snake.

Anonymous said...

you are so misinformed. delores lied to save ned's sorry ass (hoping he would vendicate her). she was set up by BB/council/sanders and took it on the chin like any loyal employee would do for the boss. delores came out in the run-off saying she would terminate the contracts with these do nothing lawyers. roy is now riding that wave. get your facts straight dumb-dumb.

Anonymous said...

the fact that she was caught in a lie is because lying is not something she does. it is easy to say she "lost by a gigantic margin" when you try to fight fair with street fighters, plus BB knew about the BR trip prior to the council meeting. she had time to prep for the blitz. Delores walked into a trap unprepared.

I hope this is helpful. Lamar just posted his accomplishments on behalf of the city and it would appear that he went to a meeting dealing with New Orleans reconstruction but they also mentioned neighborhood watch. I was wondering what the Roy administration was doing on the N.O. problem.

"Yesterday, two of us attended a conference with Lt. Governor Mitch Landrieu on volunteerism and “social entrepreneurship,” which is really just a fancy term for a committed and diversified volunteer. And even though most of the conference seemed to be primarily centered on the New Orleans recovery effort, there were several things mentioned that could really benefit Alexandria"

Well how about the deals he made with the sponsors of his party which was held for him during the mayoral race. The invitation clearly stated on the cover the sponsors which were Malcolm Larvadain, Jr., Mark Brown and Charles "Chuck" Johnson. Mark is the owner of Mid-State HOME HEALTH and now has a contract with the City of Alexandria (interesting...I didn't know that the City was involved in HOME HEALTH), Charles "Chuck" Johnson is now the City Attorney and Malcolm Larvadain now has a contract with the City of Alexandria AND last but certainly not least his sex partner, Von Jennings, is now working in some ridiculous position with Roy's administration. NO SWEETHEART DEALS....yeah right!!

It is understantabled that Roy would prefer his loyal supporters over his enemies. Everyone understands that principal. The only exception would appear to be Jobetty Sterkyxxx who torched him, bad mouthed him, support his opponent, and yet was given a respectable position. That shows an even hand.

ANCIENT HISTORY RELATIVE TO THE VON JENNINGS, MALCOM X LARVADAIN, LAMAR WHITE RELATIONSHIP.

Von Jennings (Malcom X's concubine)was the WIB Board's Secretary (read handmaiden to Lamar White's Grandmother) Malcom X Larvadain was on the WIB Board of Directors and JoAnn White (Grandmaw) was the Chairman of the WIB Board all at the same time.

Grandmaw was the one that attempted to use her "political clout", extending even to DC, to attempt to have local control over the WIB eliminated and have Rapides Parish come under the control of Vernon Parish.

Grandmaw's friends in the Department of Labor, State of Louisiana. were trying to help her accomplish her goal. Joe Fuller, Rapides Parish Police Juryman and Felix Mouton, then a Rapides Parish employee and alledged oppressor and harrasser of female employees were also assisting.

The Police Jury removed Joe Fuller from his relationship with the WIB, the WIB Board resigned in mass and the Police Jury executed a program designed to cause WIB to be a functioning entity for Rapides Parish and under control of Rapides Parish. The only mistake made during the transition was the employment of a Police Juryman's preacher's wife as secretary.

After removal of the malcontents, those with their own agenda, those desiring to reward female friends with positions of importantance. resignations do to whatever reason, and eliminating the participation of blue haired old women desiring power the WIB began to service the populace of Rapides Parish.

Isn't America great. Grandmaw rose from poverty to such a position of power. Isn't it great that Lamar thinks we the public are stupid enough to believe his acquiring a "position" with the City has nothing to do with "deals".

YEA SURE

Anonymous said...

To add to the political deals narrative Von Jennings and Felix Mouton, after resigning from as employees of the Parish were hired by the local trade school. Felix resigned from the Parish to escape sexual harrassement charges and was immediately hired by the trade school. When Mrs. White could no longer contain the WIB debacle she started her hand maiden Von Jennings resigned and was immediately hired by the trade school.

The circle continues unbroken despite change of leadership.

I agree that Mayor Roy is an objective, sophisticated, and practical politician. The previous posting about his appointment of Joe Betty Sturkx after she and her husband said unforgivable things about Jacques and his family shows that it is sometimes wiser and easier to convert the rotten nasty greedy elitest sumbiches than to continue to have to tolerate the back fence whisper campaigns. But some people are just basically evil and disloyal. Ya just gotta keep your eye on them.

Anonymous said...

you make it sound as though jacques is so reserved. he has the temperment of a child. from what i heard he did not even have the maturity to answer the phone when delores called to conceed. you forget that he is only 35 and still wet behind the ears. he has a lot of growing up to do...which is normal for a greenhorn of the political arena. so far so good, but he still needs to learn the value of chivalry.

And in a political arena where your oponent has openly and personally attacked you and your family with vicious lies, what exactly is the value of chivalry. There is the tale of rattlesnake who came to reside under the cabin of a sharecropper in north Louisiana. The snake never bothered anyone, coming and going as it pleased, avoiding any contact with humans.
One day the sharecropper saw the snake slithering under his cabin to escape the noonday heat. Realizing that the snake posed a danger to him, his wife and children, he dug the snake out and killed it.

There are those who say the snake should have been left alone, and forgotten about, after all it had not bothered anyone.

There are those that say the snake should have been watched carefully and had it shown signs of being a danger to anyone...captured and taken far away.

And then there are those who agree with the sharecropper. The snake was a danger because of what it was capabile of. The sharecropper was right to seek out the danger, confront it, and destroy it.

Jacques Roy needs to take a lesson from the way the sharecropper handled the rattlesnake. Instead, he has invited the snake into his cabin.

Let me help you: Delores said that he had a stake in the Cleco litigation that presented a conflict; Delores said that B. Brown would be city attorney; Delores said that Rick Ranson would be her COS; and Delores protrayed him as a hog at the trough where in actuality, she was the only trough dweller in the contest. None of these things were true. They were well-orchestrated lies designed to distract voters from Delores's proven untruthfulness and questionble (at best) housing authority dealings by her and her husband, together with her attacks on the entire legal profession and biting the Randolph hand that fed and nurtured her and kept her from a career as a steno typist. Looking back, there is no possible way that decent people can justify her conduct - and to my knowledge, none of them have.

If you call a lier a lier, that just stating a fact. If you call a non-lier a lier, that's Brewer.

Anonymous said...

That may be true but at least democrats want to give back to their community. They like raising taxes so that the poor can get a leg up in a world that cuts them no breaks.

Damn my eyes, I think I just saw a Delores 11' bumper sticker on some anonymous person's car.

Anonymous said...

Dear roy's my boy,
Jacques does get paid from the cleco settlement. Since he never announced who his city attorney would be why not Bridgette? Rick would have served as her COS when his term suspension was over. Those are not lies. The first is definately not a lie, the second one is speculation, and the third one is a confirmed fact.

Ned threw her under the bus when he did not vendicate her for jumping on the proverbial grenade. He struck first. As for the housing athority: Harold Chambers hired David and John to do city work not Delores. David made 27 g's over something like 15 years. I would not call that "feeding rom the trough.

The point is that Delores is an honorable person that was coaxed into running for this campaign only to get abamdoned by the very people that pumped her up (Ned & Deborah). She was only attempting to extend her civic responsibilty for the good of our community and she was completely discredited.

If you actually knew her you would see that she is incapable of breaking the law for personal gain.

The story of Jobe comes to mind. Why do bad things happen to good people?

The average income for the poor on Federal and State assistance is approximately $36,000.00 per annum when all forms of compensation are considered. Seeing as how you mentioned the race card by bringing in enslavement the chronic receivers of public assistance are of all races. Itt is fashionable now days to be wiggers and enjoy the same social largesse. Funds getting low have another bastard child.

The destruction of America will be laid at the feet of the Democratic party's cradle to grave social policies. Other countries have found out that you cannot continue to provide for the every need of the poor on the backs of the working class. European countries are now faced with having to cutback social services because more are sucking than contributing.

A case in point in America is the fiasco called post Katrina New Orleans. Mr. Chocaleteville issuing the Corps of Engineers for Billions - has no justification for the dollar amount just sounded like a good number. The 9th Ward citizens have been unable to function in city's not accustomed to corruption. To many cases on record of their inability to assimilate into civilized society.

The only reason that people, like you, constantly bring up my Klan involvement is because you dislike my exposure of certain politicians to state and federal agencies for wrongdoing I have alleged. One of your allegations was investigated Greg and it seems you were very, very, wrong.

The State Ethics Board completely exonerated Roy Hebron of any wrongdoing in the WW #3 water line fiasco today at about 3:00.

I have had noir do I have any connection with the WIB. My comments were in response to another poster's remarks concerning Von Jennings and Malcom
X Larvadain being hired by the City. I was merly trying to explain relationship of each to the other. Now if you think hiring Lamar and the rest of the group was conincedental stay away from ocean front property sales persons. Lamar's hiring, Von's hiring and Malcom X's hiring were payment for political support.

It would seem anyone with any knowledge of who is "in bed" with whom in the Alexandria area could easily figure this out.

Gregg I was just wondering. Years ago when your, I suppose, uncle died your stepaunt (I suppose) Bee told me she was being hassled drastically by his (her husband) first family as far as settling the estate. If memory serves she basically wound up with nothing.

Her being an Aymond and your being an Aymond I was wondering if there was a connection.

Actually, I only filed the initial complaint. After an almost 2 year investigation, the ethics board itself brought the formal charges and conducted the hearing today. Therefore, they must have thought the charges were substatiated by its investigation. So, since I have had nothing to do with that matter for the past few years, I cannot say why or how Hebron was exonerated. I do find that curious, as his own brother Wes, admitted the allegations and signed a consent decree.

Well, well, well...I gues we can finally close the book on the WW#3 waterline deal.

Lets' see...
Roy Hebron: Stlll Mayor of Ball and completely innocent of any wrongdoing.
Rich Dupree: Still top dog over in Pineville, second only to Fields himself.
T.J. Hollingsworth: Still on the Board of WW#3

and then we have...

Greg Aymond: Fired from the water board, practicing out of a plumbing shop, and probably broke.

Folks, can we ever believe anything Greg says?

Bee's second husband was my grandfather. He left his property to her, If you check the property records, you will see that my brother purchased that property, well over 10 years after my grandfather's death, from a bank which had foreclosed on it.
Therefore, your attempts to slander or discredit my family can easily be proven false by the public records. Now give us your true name so we can all inquire into the affairs of your family.

did it ever occur to you in the course of this discussion about political appointee that most people hire those in their campaign once they're in office? SO WHAT? if someone works hard for you and your cause during the campaign, then it makes sense to have someone like that working in your administration?

All that Roy Hebron's exoneration proves is that Henry Lemoine does have connections to the ethics board and can get good ol boy's problem's handled. Ain't life grand Lousyana?

Anonymous said...

from the TT:

“This has been a political vendetta from the very start,” Hebron said after the vote. “I knew once the board heard the truth, I would be exonerated. I’m glad it’s over.”

Henry Lemoine, Hebron’s attorney, described the attempt to discredit his client as “a witch hunt” by the water district’s former attorney and former members of the board.

“These people wanted to embarrass Tom Hollingsworth and Roy Hebron,” he said.

During testimony, Hebron said he tried to pay the $5,400 it cost to install the almost 800-feet-long, 4-inch diameter water line when someone told him “this would all go away” if he paid the cost. However, the district’s former attorney, Greg Aymond, returned it.

So Greg I have to ask, if 8 of 10 ethics board members didn't see a problem, what did you see?

Does this not give ammunition to those that are so harsh with you? Can they now assert that you are either not competent, vindictive in nature, or legal opinions are not supported by facts?

Anonymous said...

For starters, #1. the water district failed to procure the easements prior to running the line to Hebrons property, #2 Does a residence really require a 4 (four) inch water line or do you guys need some plumbing education? #3 Any line connected to existing water district network must have a state health inspection certificate which was bypassed in this instance because they were trying to do it on the sly.
I am not as intimately familiar with the case as Greg is, but on these facts alone, as well as Wes Hebron's admission of the facts say ther was a violation there. It goes to show that the Ethics Board has no moral or legal compass to guide their actions and they can be used to harass or excuse whom they wish. Folks used to hang horse thieves in these parts and I am wondering if the practice should return to fashion.

Apparently some of you do not understand the procedures of the Ethics Board. I did file the original complant against Roy Hebron. However, the Ethics Board itself reviewed my complaint and voted to institute an investigation. The Board's investigators then investigated the matter for approxinmately 2 years, and reported back to the Ethics Board, That Board then voted upon which charges would be filed. The letter to Hebron stated:

"Dear Mr. Hebron:

The Louisiana Board of Ethics, at its September 14, 2006 meeting, considered a confidential investigation report which indicated that during your brother’s service as an appointed member of the Rapides Parish Waterworks District, you instructed the staff of the water district to install a new water pipeline down a privately owned road to service your residence in degradation of the water district’s policy and procedure and without the proper approval by the Board of Commissioners for the water district and, that subsequent to its completion, the district’s Board of Commissioners accepted such pipeline into the water district system at the district’s expense at a time when you were the only landowner serviced by such pipeline.

The Board, by a majority vote of its membership, ordered that a public hearing be conducted..." A staff attorney then presented the case today. I had nothing to do with the investigation, which charges were filed, nor how it was prosecuted. You can look up the charges the Ethics Board made against Mayor Hebron, on its website.
It is my understanding that the board felt that it's staff brought the wrong charges against Mayor Hebron. Therefore, I see nothing in this that shows anything I provided unto the Board was proven to be false.

What's more interesting to me is the Hey Hey Board noted Hebron used his influence to get the water line which is wrong, but since he didn't force anyone to it, it's ok. Yeah, right. Either it's wrong or not.

He didn't have to force anyone his influence was enough to get the job done. Let's throw the Hey Hey board out when we toss Babblin' Blanco out of office.

I always advise my clients to get a good night's sleep and eat a
hearty breakfast before a trial. I wonder if Henry Lemoine has given
Mayor Roy Hebron similar advice for his Ethics hearing tomorrow in
Baton Rouge?
Roy will need all the help he can get, since his own brother signed
a consent decree admitting to all of the facts. Although Henry Lemoine
has been meeting with all of the Ethics Board witnesses, I doubt they
can change their previous written and signed statements. The fact is
that Roy obtained a free waterline from the Water Board while his
brother was on that Board. That is clearly unethical. There was no
other line in that District, at that time and presumably since, that
was laid at public expense to serve only one residence.
Hopefully justice will prevail, and Roy will finally learn, at
least on this limited basis, that he, nor any other politician, is
above the law. Public service does not mean that the public serves
you, it is supposed to be the other way around."

Look people the problem here is with the ethics board. Do we as tax paying citizens feel our elected officials are entitled to something that we would not be? Do we feel they shoudl be able to use their INFLUENCE as long as they don't FORCE someone to get what they want? Let's be real here.

Whether it's Hebron and his waterline or some other elected official getting work done on his property at the public's expense we should all be outraged! Granted, it probably happens every day and NO ONE is talking about it because of the INFLUENCE factor.

One of the things Blanco ran on was cleaning up government. Her ethics commission has failed her about as much as ICF and the Road Home program at this point from my point of view.

Now, someone asked why a 4" line to just one home, well honey don't you realize that's so they can say it was to cover the growth in the area. :-))

Yes, I have a lot of interest in any crooked politician that uses $10,000.00 in public funds for his personal property. However, I had nothing to do with the Ethics Board Proceedings since the initial complaint 2 years ago.

I don't think the posters on this site have a lack of concern for ethical conduct by elected officiaks. I would think most, if not all of the posters, would like to see politicians that commit unethical acts should be brought before the board.

The problem is that Gregg through the use of his name and the anonymous title is still venting his splean against those that he thinks done him wrong. Maybe they did - maybe they didn't. Seems like everytime a legally empowered Board holds a hearing on compliants initially eminating from Greg Greg loses. Yet even though the person Greg accusses is exonerated Greg continues to harass, insult, harange and degrade the person.

Let someone ask him about his shortcomings, background, etc and he demands your name, accuses you of slander, etc. He is a slimeball.

--------------
I do not believe that everything that comes out of Mr. Aymond's mouth is a lie. But with the outcome of the Hebron allegations, and the consecutive court rulings that favored Dupree, it is easy for many to conclude that Mr. Aymond's actions are rooted in a deep resentment towards Dupree, and others, regardless of what he might say to the contrary.

Unfortunately, society does not forgive and forget a person's past wrong doings such as affiliations with David Duke and the Klan, although Mr. Aymond has renounced both of them. These poor choices will forever haunt Mr. Aymond and sadly, will continue to discredit him with many regardless if what he says is true.

I believe that the best course of action for Mr. Aymond to redeem himself is to "bury the hatchet" once and for all with his adversaries and strive for "peace in our community". Instead of bringing a "fight" to the table I suggest an olive branch. I have no doubt that those that he has relentlessly pursued would be reasonable toward this approach. I believe that someone with his drive and determination could channel all of that energy into strengthening our community by positive reinforcement and not being a self-appointed "political watchdog".

There is nothing but good that could come from this humble approach and would take much "fuel" away from the fire from those that scorn (openly disrespect and dislike) him.

What a refreshingly positive example this would set for young people in the community.

Sorry to disagree with you, but watching to make sure my taxes are spent legally is my right as a citizen. I would hate to live in a system that tolerates political corruption. I don't know Greg Aymond but his blatant effort to distance himself from his failed attack on Hebron tells us a lot. When he was getting the press he was the dragon slayor but now that he is exposed as a petty revenge seeker, he wants to discount his roll in the persecution. This conduct suggests to me that this whole Pineville records thing is a person being abusive and destructive just because he can. I think he is standing on quicksand.

Anonymous said...

I think Gregg's response to the 6:39 post is all the evidence one needs to ascertain the character, morals and mental condition of Greg. A reasonable, sane, mature person would seek a compremise to solve a situation. Not our Greg. Nothing less then total revenge will satisfy him.

You would think as many times as he has been defeated he would learn banging his head against a brick wall is not hurting the wall. He has destroyed any credibility he might have had and all this has to be costing him business. Does he not realize he cannot contradict his posted words of the past?

His anger driven desire for revenge has reduced him to attempting to conduct a law practice out of a plumbing shop. He is constantly seeking identities in order to sue someone else.

After this anyone attaching any credibility to him must be a slow learner. It would seem he has destroyed himself.

Mr. Aymond,
I am disappointed that you will not consider my good & peaceful counsel. I also am a proponent of good government and believe that integrity should reign in and out of public office. Your course of action does not depend on the acceptance of others, but the outcome of proving the allegations emphatically does. Remember this, holding a person accountable to the letter of the law wields a sword that cuts both ways. Your questioning of others Integrity in office cause people to consider the Integrity of the source, which at this time in your life is not too credible due to your past affiliations, your past court loses with those currently in office and your persistent allegations to those you have had differences with, while always denying that there is no personal vendetta. The means in which you pursue your endeavor have you defeated long before the verdict becomes official. Here is some wisdom, you should try channeling you allegations through someone that is more reputable in the community and remain behind the scenes.

At least this way there is less likelihood of contempt prior to investigation.

From the State Ethics Board Agenda

Louisiana Board of Ethics
Louisiana Housing Finance Agency
2415 Quail Drive, Third Floor
Baton Rouge, Louisiana
February 8 - 9, 2007
9:00 a.m.

G1. Docket No. 04-416
Public Hearing concerning Roy Hebron having a water pipeline
installed by the Rapides Parish Waterworks District No. 3 at a time
when his brother served as an appointed member of the district's
board of commissioners.

Roy has been calling the witnesses summoned by the Ethics Board,
and urging them to meet with his attorney, Henry Lemoine. It will
be interesting to see how Roy attempts to crawl out from under this
one, as his brother Wes has already consented to the Ethics Board
finding of facts in this matter. Let us hope and pray that the
Ethics Board sends out a strong message that nobody is above the law."

Anonymous said...

"Todays ruling DID NOT confirm that Roy did nothing wrong. It
simply said that there was insufficient evidence to prove the charge. This is similar to a bank robber being charged and tried for murder. Simply because he is found not guilty of murder doesn't mean that he didn't rob the bank."

On someone's advice, I visited Aymond's site to get some idea of what he was about. I found the above quote which illustrates, in my opinion, that he has zero comprehension of law, justice, ethics, or truth. This is a statement that I would not expect from a person of normal intelligence. This guy is apparently an emotional cripple that feeds off of his own bile. Sad case.

Anonymous said...

WOW, if this Greg fella is so bad why not just ignore him. Is it really necessary to trash him 24/7? Quite frankly I am getting tired of hearing about it. Can't we engage in a discussion that is pertinent to present or future events?

Anonymous said...

Apparently I get a different newspaper than some of you. My paper said "Ethics attorney Gray Sexton said that an investigation found that Hebron used his influence to get waterworks employees to do work on his property, in violation of the district's policy and the Ethics Code. In allowing the water line to later be incorporated into the district system, he violated a section of the code that prohibits an elected official doing business with a relative's agency."
To me that appears that this Sexton guy charged Hebron, not Aymond. Also my paper said "Ethics board member John Greene, a retired judge, said that although Hebron "did clearly benefit" from the water line being installed on his property when "clearly he wasn't entitled to it," he did not believe that Sexton proved the mayor did anything wrong." Sounds like they did agree with Aymond, that Hebron got a free waterline.

Anonymous said...

You are obviously correct, but since this guy keeps screaming "fire" in a crowded theatre and getting an unreasonable amount of attention because of it, we need to be able to evaluate him as a source or authority and, so far, I ain't too impressed.

I shall move on.

Pappy said...

Now I don't have no fancy law degree, or even a college learnin, but it don't take no genius to recognize good advice when it is starin you in the face.
Sounds like that poster talkin about peace and humility and buryin the hatchet may be something worth listening to. I know that most everyone in my neck of the city would like to see that suggestion come to pass.

Folks just like to see people kiss and make up------and rightly so--it's what we are supposed to do.

Anonymous said...

Apparently some of you are speaking without knowing the facts or don't care what the facts are. I was ordered to investigate the waterline matter by the Water Board. During that investigation I obtained witness statements and other documents. Those were put into a binder and presented to the Water Board. A copy of that investigative report was sent to the Ethics Board. It was the Ethics Board, not me, which reviewed those materials and then voted for its staff to conduct an investigation. The Board investigated almost 2 years and then voted to file charges against Hebron. The Board decided what charges to file, and then prosecuted the case. I was NOT a witness at that hearing.
Anyone who thinks a Mayor can get the public to pay almost $10,000.00 to install a waterline on pirvate property is clearly wrong. Do I believe that Roy Hebron committed a crime, you bethcha. Do I think he was gulty of the ethical violation the Ethics Board charged him with, I am not sure.
As I did not witness the waterline installation, nor was a witness at the hearing, my credibility or motivation has nothing to do with the charges nor their outcome. The Ethics Board filed charges based upon its own investigation.
State agencies have never debated, on a blog, whether or not to charge and prosecute, and are unlikely to start.
The Ethics Board has ruled so why don't we move on to another topic?

Anonymous said...

greg, i don't know you but you should end this by not responding to these bloggers. whether they have all the facts, some of the facts, or none of the facts you are lending credibility to them by arguing with them.

Anonymous said...

No and glad of it. While I love alot of people in Lafayette and the culture, this area remains quite nice. I lived in Lafayette for 12 years and if you think we have political problems here--go down there and get involved. The views of many that make up the diversity has re-aggravated racism not only in Lafayette, but also in New Iberia where the "New Black Panthers" recently held a rally, led by a "Reverend" threatening a show of force with the Iberia Sheriff's Department because they broke up a party in the streets.

One council member Chris Williams used a knife to engrave the slogan” Dr. Martin Luther King Jr” in the facing of the wooden podium that the council sits behind. He claimed he did it because someone removed a bumper sticker that held this phrase from in front of the place he sits. The slogan came about from demands from him and Louis Benjamin and the local NAACP and others that they change Evangeline Thruway to Dr Martin Luther King Jr Drive. Last that I read, charges were eventually pressed and this splendid example of leadership was fined and placed on probation which his lawyer appealed.

1) Why did you return Hebron's money? Did the board vote to do that, or is that a decision you made by yourself?

2) What was the wording of your original complaint to the ethics board?

And for those of you griping about Hebron getting a free water line to his house, did any of you pay your local govt to run the water main past your place?

I didn't think so. All you had to pay was for the line to your house. I imagine Hebron did the same.

Right, but local government doesn't pay to run it 700 feet rhough the woods to get to your property line, which is what they did for ole Roy. You need to re-read the facts on the Ethics Board website so you won't look so foolish next time you post.

A standard water service line is 5/8" at the meter outlet. Why would Mayor Hebron need a 4 inch line to his property for normal residential use? It appears you wouldn't know a fact if it bit you in the ass or have the intelligence to use it in a sentence.

Anonymous said...

I'm ignorant? I have enough sense to know that no municipal body in the world runs a 5/8" water main.

Maybe you should "google" water meter billage by municipalities. Some municipalities allow a 6" line to the meter.

Here's a link for you to see the actual size of a water main. For the clueless (like Spanky) its the blue pipe.

I once heard that if you argue with an idiot that soon other folks may not be able to tell the two apart - so I quit.

Anonymous said...

Spanky is correct. The 5/8ths refers to the meter size, not the size of the water line. A union fitting is then used to connect the two. The larger the line, the larger the meter, but most residential and commercial meter sizes range from 5/8th to 2 inches. For a sample, see http://www.plumbingstore.com/wameters.html.

The topic was, is, and has always been the size of the lines that the municipality ran to Hebron's property!

How full-0-shit U R. The mayor greets visitors to our city (unless the mayor is impaired). The dignitaries expect it, appreciate it, and respond to it. Nobody is going to associate a Roy with a fatass republican industrialist - or at least, certainly nobody with common sense.

Anonymous said...

You people are hilarious. He'll introduce and be kind to almost any and all sitting LA Senators/Congressmen because that is GOOD politics.

Everyone knows Roy's a Democrat. This was not an endorsement. It was a hospitable formality. Some of you read way too much into everything.

Anonymous said...

I just can't understand why Jacques Roy would spend his valuable time going to a news conference and introducing a Republican candidate that will not garner enough votes to even be a factor in this governor's race. Surely he is more savvy than that. I think it was a major gaffe for him. But then again, as has been mentioned before, he is a young politician.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Roy read the internal tracking polls that shows Boasso within three points of Jindal.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Roy isn't wasting his time, just doing his job. I'm quite sure that there were things he would rather do than sit on the levee but his position and courtesy demands that he do stuff like that. As far as job security, you should have Roy's glowing (blossoming) future.

Anonymous said...

Internal tracking polls???? What have you been smoking? That's funny.

Anonymous said...

My understanding is that this Boasso guy has pulled this off in other Cities. He is asking mayors to introduce him and then it appears like an endorsement. Boasso is apparently nobody's political neophyte. Not to worry, Governor Breaux will need no introduction.

Anonymous said...

I think we all need to reserve judgment for a while. Breaux will asked Jacques for his endorsement in due course. At that point, we will see what he's made of. I think he will step up to the plate and endorse Breaux. The coalition that put Roy in office was black voters and white democrats, which happens to constitute about 85% of the registered voters in Alexandria. Most republicans fought him with every ounce of their being. He knows his base.

Anonymous said...

OK

obviously most of you have never worked in a campaign.

There is a huge difference in greeting dignitaries and intros at a "FORMAL ANNOUNCEMENT"

Formal announcements are reserved for core supporters. Do you IDIOTS expect that Gov Blanco will intro Romney or McCain or Rudy when they come to LA to formerly announce???? I mean after all they do greet visiting dignitaries to our state. Or maybe Alexander will intro Beard or Dixon when they announce. HA HA HA he he he LOL!!!

Some of you peeps are clueless.

Anonymous said...

"Most Republicans fought him with every ounce of their being."

What happened to the spin that Republicans were the one's who encouraged Roy to get in the race and most Republicans voted for him. You can't have it both ways.

there was nothing wrong with mayor roy introducing senator boasso. after all boasso is a sitting state senator who sits on several important committees such as the transportation, highways & public works committee and the agriculture, forestry, aquaculture and rural development committee and there is a regular legislative session convening at 30 april 2007. so mayor roy did the right thing.

Anonymous said...

Mayor Roy had a successful law practice prior to his election as mayor and more than likely took a substantial pay cut to serve. Why in the hell would he feel the need to take a poll of you knotheads before he farts? I would think it wise to be a familiar face to the next governor or whomever even if he does not support them. What is wrong with cordiality anyway? Geez Louise.

Anonymous said...

You folks are confused. Please stop voting. This was not some fact-finding mission, or a announcement of some importance, this was a "I'm running my name up the flagpole to be the next gov, so who's with me announcement."

So unless you suuport that candidate don't take part. he didn't just meet and greet him, he introduced him. What did Roy say exactly:

"I would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the NEXT gov of the great state of LA?" Because that's the traditional way someone is intro'd when they declare.

It was a very savvy move by Boasso, a naive move by Roy. Don't you think all media that Boasso runs in Alex, is not going to show this pic together? Whether he endorses him or not?

Roy will find out how cordial politics is, if somene else wins.

Anonymous said...

Give me a break. Roy did not introduce Walter Boasso as the next governor of Louisiana. I was at the event. It was a casual and cordial welcome.

He didn't do anything naive. Ned Randolph made sure to attend all of these events, whether the candidate had an R or a D behind his name. Jacques Roy is the same way.

roy is in the big leagues now. he is gonna try his damndest (how do you spell that) not to ruffle any political feathers. whether this roy/boasso thing was good or bad is irrelevent. he is leaning how to make moves, even if it is a detrement to his voter base.

Mayor Roy din't give a hoot in Hell what the knucklheads on this blog thought of Lamar when he hired him, nor does he give a dam what the 30 or so people on this blog think about anything elese he does. The vast majority of the people are not the think tank on this blog, and have never heard of the brain trust that think they know it all on here.

It may be interesting to some, which states and organizations filed amicus briefs in support of an individuals' right to keep and bear arms, in last weeks historic D.C. Circuit 2nd Amendment decision.
The groups supporting individual rights to keep and bear arms were: Nation Rifle Association, N.R.A., the American Civil Rights Union, the Second Amendment Foundation, and the Congress of Racial Equality.
The States, whose Attorney Generals, also supported that individual right, were: Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota,Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Utah, Wyoming.
Notably absent was Louisiana's Attorney General.

Folks, I have been watching Aymonds for years. Aside from being an all around sloppy guy, in both his personal appearance and the practice of his profession, he is also a pathological liar.

I detest Aymonds, no question, that tubby sack of crap is the laughing stock of central Louisiana, but I have a friend who has also watched Aymonds behavior over the years and finds him a fascinating case. My friend is a clinical psychiatrist.

His informal assessment of Aymonds is that the man displays the classic symptoms of a pathological liar, megalomania, and at times, paranoid schizophrenia, low self esteem, and extreme aggression towards those who dispute his version of what should be right with the world. He also seems to suffer from classic symptoms of “Little Man Syndrome.” Aymonds looks to be about 5’ 2” tall.

My friend also suggests that Aymonds could be violent under the right conditions, physically attacking someone who frustrates him in his attempts to make himself appear larger than life. What makes him particularly dangerous is that he seems to have remembered his legal training but forgotten all about an attorney’s code of ethics. Aymonds knows the legal system and knows that courts will not take into account his obvious mental imbalance when he attacks his imagined enemies abusing the court system in the process.

Basically, the opinion is that Aymonds is a deranged individual, seeking to make himself important by attacking those who he thinks has wronged him in some way.

Acknowledging him in any way feeds his mental imbalances and encourages his deviant behavior. My friends opinion is to ignore him at all costs. Perhaps he will waddle off and find some other group to pester.

Now this blog has turned into the psychic hotline complete with a professional diagnosis. OK, ask your clinical psychologist (not psychiatrist) friend what's wrong with me. My symptoms include checking this blog daily only to find the same worthless chatter by the same individuals who cannot find an audience anywhere else to listen to their opinions. To give you an idea of who the current movers and shakers of this blog are, I'm guessing Spanky is one or both of the husband and wife team that ran for council seat/judge a few years ago. This is their free speech alley. Likewise, We Saw That and Aymond (not Aymonds) seem to like this blog better than their own. Please ask why an educated person, well established in the community, would continue to monitor this blog in the hope that something intelligent would be discussed? And while we're on the physic hotline, who is We Saw That, Buff and the anonymous who always refers to Aymond as Tubby? Everyone else has come out of the closet and acknowledged their identity.

Wow your friend must be sister Cleo. He or she can apparently diagnose a mental condition without any of the standard testing done by reputable mental health experts.
I think it is you that have many of the mental problem you attribute to me, as most can see from your attacks coming out of the blue. Perhaps your fiend would have time to let you sit on his couch? Have your friend start with helping you identify yourself. Do you have a low self-esteem?

Greg, many folks don't want you to have their true identity because they lack confidence in you sanity and reason. That being said, you should consider the possibility of persons reacting very strongly to your contact and puting you somewhat at risk.

go see "300." if you are unfamiliar it is a movie about the spartans fighting the persians in the battle of thermopolie. it kicks ass!

there are some political undertones which, from what i ascertained, could be attributed to the current iraq situation. what i mean is that the spartans fight for sparta's freedom against an unwavoring ememy that requires full submission in exchange for your life. sounds alot like out current global war on terror and the jihad on so many free people.

anyway, the roles could be reversed so that the persians, made up of a million man army, could be the military mite of the US and the300 spartans could be al quida or some small rebel force. i really depends on your point of view. even if you do not read this deep into it it is still a stand alone movie on the merit of action, brutality, and cool cenimatography with a stylized comic book feel.

GO SEE IT!

No I am not worried. Someone who is too much of a coward to put their name to what they say, is not likely to have enough bravery to physically attack someone. That is unless it is from behind. I have been verbally threatened on here for almost a year, and no attacks yet.
Perhaps though, many are afraid of my mental diagnosis of being prone to violence. It is amazing that the people that frequent this blog can know all about a person having never met them, nor knowing any thing about the true motives of their accuser. Guess this must be a psychic crowd that frequents this blog.

Never can tell who could file such a lawsuit or when.

A man does not have to be personally met face to face to know him. He is judged by his actions. These determine your course & your motives, not what you may have to say to the contrary.
Any man that is respected by his word is known first and foremost by his actions. It is not very hard for one to discern the intent of the heart of a man when hate, bitterness and malice become the driving force that fuels his actions. And as history has consistently shown, people that continue on with this "cancer of character" inevitably are "marked" by society be it locally, nationally or Internationally.
To deny this truth is Lunacy. Their only redemption is to have a complete and utter abandonment of these afflictions of character. "What so ever a man sows, that shall he reap". "If you sow destruction, discord and disunity, that shall you reap." If you cry wolf one too many times and there is no wolf, then your credibility has dissolved. Continuing to cry wolf, only worsens that position.

As I stated a day or two ago in these comments, the law is a two edged sword. When you publicly shine the light on another, the light also engulfs you.

You would have no part of good and peaceable counsel; you would have no part of wisdom.

I have taken no pleasure in reading those that have scorned you. I only hoped that you would have considered my words of reason. I do not loathe you as some may that post here. I see a man that has been hurt be it justly or unjustly. I am glad that there are people that stand up for good government. I am one of those. I just believe that there has not been too much wisdom used in your approach and it has reflected on you as a grudge that you carry.

Keep it up Greg. The fact that you hit a nerve with those who either have political ties or benefit from the status quo is something that you are admired for by those of us who may not have the courage to fight the fight. Most of the time those of us who agree with you are intimidated from writing so just know that there are many more of us out here who silently applaud your efforts to make these paid government employees play by the rules. No wonder they attack you , your family and say unkind things about you personally. If you were not hitting the mark they would just ignore you . Every time they flinch or respond you should know that you have once again hit the mark. It is and always has been a thankless job to speak up against wrongdoing . However, from many of us. Thank you .

Okay...

The correct spelling is

L I A R
not
LIER

Jeeze-I usually do not point out spelling errors, people do make typos-but not EVERY FRICKING TIME the word is typed.

If you are going to fling the word so often at least spell it right.

And
Delores like Job?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
(and, yes as much as I hate to point it out-it is J O B not Jobe. When you say/type something reallyreally ignorant such as comparing Delores Brewer to Job who was, according to God , the most faithful of His servants it may (just for a second) look a little less ignorant if you try to spell things correctly))

give me a fucking break already-

Bad things to good people-yep, happens all the time.

Job, however, did not run for office, make really stupid decisions and end up being made a complete and total fool of. Job's story was a little darker than that. In fact Delores could learn a thing or two from Job.

Bad things happen to good people. A test of faith, bad luck? Perhaps. But sometimes people do really stupid shit that comes back to bite them in the ass. Its called Karma, and it is a bitch.

Anyone can sue anyone at any time for anything Greg. Childish threats don't work. One should not lose sight of the fact that if the suit is proven to be false and not filed in good faith the sewer often gets to pay the sewee. In Greg's case his winning percentage as being the sewer is rather low.

Dear Anon 10:38:00 PM,

The comparison was not meant to be a "direct" comparison.

I was not saying that Delores and Job from the bible experienced the same trials and tribulations, but since you had to point it out you are right. They are not the same person.

So pretty much what you are saying is that the story of Job is in the bible so that people DO NOT compare themselves to it. Right?

ou said: "In fact Delores could learn a thing or two from Job."

How could you slam me for comparing her to Job and then say state the above quote. You sound like a douche-bag who needs to get a life and stop correcting peoples gramattikal air R's.

Tis troubling to get old and suffer from dementia. Let me see Greg can spew his bile and vengeance on this blog site but respondees cannot point out "he lost again". Sure I understand that.

Anonymous said...

ummmm, yeah-it is in the bible so we don't compare ourselves to him but strive to be more like him. Job experienced the WORST trials and tribulations and yet he kept his faith and didn't curse God for the things he went through. He knew that you have to take the good AND the bad. None of us is remotely like Job, we can only hope to be.

What DB could learn from Job is that stoicism in the face of adversity is better than weak actions and ludicrous analogies. Granted, Delores has been through some bad things-PRIOR to the election. As far as I am concerned she lost any credibility and any right to my sympathy when she compared a horribly vicious, unjust, random act of violence that she endured to what happened during the campaign. When anyone runs for office it is open season on their past, present and future actions.I am not even sure WHAT happened that led her to take such a leap as to make the comparison. Take out the names of the players and it remains the same.

She discounted every single sexual abuse survivors experience when she made that commercial.

So, yes-she could learn a thing or two from Job...we all could.

Anonymous said...

you have done alot more than "just point out that he lost again." i'm probably younger than you. Senility doesnt factor in this, just good old common sense.

Dear Douch-Bag with no life,

According to your last post everyone who wears the "what would jesus do" wrist bands should quit wearing them because we are not supposed to compare ourselves with past influencial people, and for that matter we should just discredit any past evnets that we might be able to extract meaning because that would be setting the bar to high.

Delores said that because she had been through some hard knocks in life that she has the temperment to deal with any in the future. You obviously missed the point, or warped it to discredit her. Unless you have been raped don't try to understand the feeling that might empower you to fight back when your back is against the wall.

You discredit all rape victims by judging them when you have no idea about what you're talking about.

You probably voted for Jacques. Thats fine. Just don't pretend that Delores is an bad person because she tried to win an election. This is why women have so much trouble surviving in the political world. When you fight back you are a bitch, and if you do not fight back then you are a wuss.

Think about that.

Anonymous said...

It aint that she tried to win an election, it's how she tried to win that makes he a lousy candidate.
-----------------------------------
"This is why women have so much trouble surviving in the political world."

Women have trouble in the political world because they ain't logical. They run on emotion and not fact.

----------------------------------
" When you fight back you are a bitch, and if you do not fight back then you are a wuss."

No...when you fight back you're a fighter, when you fight back stupidly, you lose.
