Oh my God!, I've been outed !!!

For God's sake people, my ownership of this blog has never been a secret. Those of you who ACTUALLY know me, know that I do not readily have the time to "sit" on this blog. I have a business, a new daughter, home renovations, community involvement, etc ...

If this blog is so unpopular than why have a vast array of similar blogs e-blossomed? They have actually capitalized on the name through their highly intelligent creativity (same name different blog company, or by the spelling of Antics with an "x"). Why? No original thought process ... "Beam me up Scotty" ... I did not know that Alexandria had so many parrots.

Jacques, good luck my friend, it's a hard battle to fight but fight the good fight ... there are individuals within this community who think for themselves, do what they can for the community and now matter how much unfiltered horse manure is spread, are still able to grow healthy and useful "seedlings" not weeds.

Respectfully,

Quint Carriere

Ever hear of the Boston Tea Party. Taxation was never a favorite of the Founding Fathers. That it was present was to finance the legitimate purpose of government, protection of individual rights. It was a mistake and the nose of the camel produced the huge increases every decade.

Feb. 3, 1913 the 16th Amendment to the Constitution was ratified allowing the Federal Income Tax.

Where did I say it was OK to give collected taxes to the rich or big businesses and refuse the working class people. I never suggested collecting taxes from anyone or giving those stolen to anyone. And yes, socialism has increased in this country gradually since its inception. This by definition is obvious. Do you know what socialism is or want to? It sounds as if you just want to shoot the messenger. I repeat, if you want a socialist country, say so and defend your position; however, quit saying you are in favor of every tenet of socialism but not a socialist. If it walks like a duck......

Anonymous said...

quit saying you are in favor of every tenet of socialism but not a socialist.

Apparently you have a reading comprehension problem. I, nor anyone else I've seen post on this topic, has written that he or she was "in favor of every tenet of socialism". People that truly think, think, think see nothing vulgar with the word "socialism", and are able to grasp that haveing government benefits does not make this a pure socialist nation. As seen from the historical facts above, some degree of socialism has existed since this country was founded. Are you anti-American?

The reason that planes don't run into each other all the time is because of the FAA and the federal air controlers. Federal air controlers are not in the consitution or the new testament. Do you think the federal government shoud regulate air travel and traffic in US air space? How do you think that should be funded? We chose to have a country that promotes social responsibility. If you want a pure heart-of-darkness darwinian existance you will not find it in a highly developed industrialized and education society. Try Somalia. If you are a reaonable person you know that but you are trying to goad people with your absurd extreme. And the amazing thing is that others are nice enough to consider your absurd position and try to enlighten you.

8) If you could keep a focused stream of thought, then it would help us help you.

First, projects voted by the people are not socialist, that's democracy. It's also a function of state/local govt. since there is no natl voting mechanism.

Secondly, regulation of the skies is not taking from wealth producers and giving it to those that don't produce. Providing for the general welfare or defense is not socialism, because all are expected to pay for these services.

Please tell me that's not all you've got. Again, so that you might understand (because some teacher lied to you somewhere). Socialism is the redistribution of wealth from the producers of said wealth to those that do not. End of story.

Govt has its purposes, but gauranteeing a minimum wage, national health care, social security, food stamps, federal income tax brackets, etc. are socially engineered programs - i.e. socialism!

If the peeps of Alexandria want to vote in healthcare, or downtown revitalization, then great, we should pay for it. But the recent history of our govt is to sneak these earmarks through our elected reps so that we are forced to pay for them against the will of the majority.

What good does it do me if 98 senators and 428 congressmen vote against my elected reps to provide free crawfish to the entire nation?? I have no voice to stop it, yet I'll have to pay for it. Admittedly, it will do good, peeps will be fed, and the crawfish industry will boom, but it's still socialism, plain and simple.

Quit being afraid of words. Admit to socialism and liberalism and then let the peeps vote. You won't win, and you know it.

You seem to perceive as unfair, the fact that our elected representatives can promulgate legislation that you don't personally get "asked about". Below is a rather basic concept. Start there and we will try another word tomottow.

Main Entry: re·pub·lic
Pronunciation: ri-'p&-blik
Function: noun
Etymology: French république, from Middle French republique, from Latin respublica, from res thing, wealth + publica, feminine of publicus public -- more at REAL, PUBLIC
1 a (1) : a government having a chief of state who is not a monarch and who in modern times is usually a president (2) : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government b (1) : a government in which supreme power resides in a body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by elected officers and representatives responsible to them and governing according to law (2) : a political unit (as a nation) having such a form of government c : a usually specified republican government of a political unit.

. . . . and, you are welcome for Lamar

Thank God for the socialism that has been applied to Katrina recovery. I for one, see nothing wrong with government helping people, including health care. If that makes me a socialist, then so be it. I do have a problem with government checks going to those who are able to work and choose not to, or to rebuild Iraq, but am glad to see the American taxpayers helped when in need. Apparently, since we do have such programs, the majority agrees.

Hitler was voted into power by a majority and his military invasions into the Rhineland were approved by over 90% of the populace. The majority put into power the man who was behind the death of 6,000,000 Jews, so there is nothing magical or moral about the majority. Now don't go get your panties in a wad and start sceaming "you will win, motherfucker". In many ways people like you have won. You can steal over half of the producers wealth right now because the majority says it is fine and dandy. It ain't right, it is the basic tenet that keeps socialism alive (using the producers money to fund the whims of the non-producers) however. There is not one single thing that you mentioned that thinking men in a free market can't do better than gov't. Disneyworld is an example of cities working fine without govt and it is clean, no crime, great services etc. There is a cruise liner transformed into a giant city with condo's etc and it has a hospital, etc. There is a private road from Houston to Katy Tx where only people who pay buy the month are allowed to ride. Privitization is the answer to all the so called govt problems. Each service can now be provided cheaper, more efficient etc. Also the use of force is unnecessary. It is very interesting that so many just fight that to the very end because they are afraid of those that don't need someone else to prosper. Their fear turns into hate and they then threaten "We will win." Translated, "We will steal your stuff and you can't do a damn thing about it". "We gonna control your life and you're gonna do what we say, cause we are now a majority". What many of us on this site are doing, is to erase the smoke and mirrors and expose what your gray fuzzy statements really mean. Your feat and hatred is misplaced. Fear those that have presented the evils of all of the collectivist systems (socialism, fascism, communism, and euphamisms like great society etc) in a manner suggesting they are really just a way to help the less fortunate and take a little from the greedy people who amassed a fortune of their backs. They are the ones who have misled you and you will suffer more than anyone at their hands. When the producers quit producing or flee, like in Soviet Russia, what do you have left. No one to steal from and thus misery for all. Look and learn rather than just start screaming "motherfucker" .

Everyone always feels all warm and snuggly in the womb of the gov't, just as in Venezuela now under Chavez and his benevolence (approved ecstatically by Robt Kennedy, Jr.). Watch where that country goes. It will be a 1-way street until there is nothing left, just like Cuba. Many on this site do not want that inevitability to occur in this country.

Anonymous said...

All you Tim McVeighs out there keep calling taxation "stealing". Stealing is an unauthorized taking - dats de law. Taxation is clearly an authorized taking.

Do all you independant rugged mutherfuckka use our roads and airways? Do you buy food regulated for safety and freshness? I naturally want to mention public schools, colleges, universities, etc. but i'm not sure that you partook - however, I bet your kids did (do) and I bet you like to shoot the shit out of deer and duck and little fuzzy squirrils which are available for your slaughter thanks to government regulation and enforcement. By your definition, providing for the common defense and establishing the Article 3 judiciary is socialistic. Nutzo.

Brings up a real question: how can all these folks with 9th grade educations home school kids in all these areas like math and science and the social studies courses?

Anonymous said...

Webster's defines "steal" as: to take or appropriate without right or leave and with intent to keep or make use of wrongfully i.e.stole a car.

Therefore your taxes are not stolen, as they are collected by law. Your witty arguments on your money being stolen are innacurrate.

9) Despite what your commie teachers told you, you will not win.

Cuba, Russia, China, Viet Nam, etc. are examples where destroyng the production value of a country has sent it to ruin. These countries have accepted free market principles in order to survive (except Cuba, which isn't surviving).

Why should anyone produce if people like you can take their wealth and give to who you choose. I would sit at home and wait for my check, and go to the doctor daily so that I can live longer with no worries. Where will it end? Will we promise future generations a car because transportation will be a necessity? In 2020 everyone will need shelter, and since public housing has been a disaster, should we give everyone their own house? by 2035, we need to end nudity forever, so why not a gift certificate to Caplan's (only because you hate Walmart) paid by with taxes so that no one will be naked? Stress is a huge health concern, so by 2050 we should guarantee national deep tisssue massage to everyone to relieve that daily stress.

Its the same reationale behind a minimum wage. If $5.15 is minimum, wouldn't $12.50 be good, and $17.00 even better?

Anyone (i.e. the unnamed one) that has a supposed great idea that will be beneficial to the community will take it to the govt for backing, and our wealth will be raided so that the idea can be fully funded. And why not, it is one H*** of a good thing for mankind!! How can you argue with that? Your just mean, ill-tempered, selfish... (Your name calling hurt my feelings, so you've won me over)

It will never be a self-sustaining form of govt.

It's never quite clear as to what you think is "too much". Do you think that there should be regulation of the professions, of food and drugs, speed limits, anti-trust, the sky, the multimedia airways, marriage, child custody and support, safety standards for cars and guns and child car seats and professional qualifications? Do you think these things are good or necessary evils or just bad commie shit that interferes with your absolute freedom. Please give me your considered answer on this and I will attempt to take your concerns seriously. Thank you.

Fortunately there is a small sense of morality and compasion in our government, that helps deserving people in times of need. That help is desired, and we should be grateful for natural disaster aid, college loans and grants, utilities, highways, and the like. Your "every man for himself" immoral and uncaring attitude, if you haven't noticed, is not accepted by the majority of us. Not a single post on this subject has suggested that the government should take care of all our needs while we sit at home and type screwing crap on a computer, and not a one has stated that we like paying taxes. You see only black and white and lack the sense to see a middle apporoach. Tell you what, feel free to turn down all assistance and aid should your home ever be blown away by a storm, however keep paying your taxes so that the rest of us can get such needed aid or you can go preach your odd ball philospy in the federal pen. Thank you for your support.

Anonymous said...

Taxation is not theft he says, but the previous poster seems pleased that those who want to keep their money will end up in a Federal Pen. Actually taxation is theft, as it is taking someone's money against their will, which is the definition of theft. You can call it voluntary if you want, but refuse to pay and you will indeed be put in the pen and if you resist you will be shot. Read the Randy Weaver story. You folks who just can't stand on your own, want the free reign to steal from those who can. Rant all you want, call names, threaten but you cannot justify taking my money against my will, whether there is one of you (a robber) or millions (a mob). Theft is wrong regardless of your opinion or a government's opinion. If you want to justify theft by calling it something else, go ahead. But it will be pointed out here what you are really endorsing.

9) How many times do I have to tell you that I have no problem voting for the common good on a local state level, and then paying for schools, roads, libraries, etc.

The problem with you is that I don't trust you. Each of the "regulations" that you cite at some point will become a crusade to strip us of our freedoms, and as other posters have said, we will be jailed or financially ruined by the govt if we choose not to fund these crusades.

Case in point:
Firearm safety. There is a need to ensure these products, but the free market can do that as well. The problem comes when someon like you says "You know what, not having any guns is better that just making sure they are used safely."

Air safety:
So you're all for the "random" searches? No-fly passenger lists? Not transporting tootpaste or lotion? Most libs like you think this is a civil rights violation.

Natural disaster assistance:
Seriously? After Katrina that that's your example of a good use of taxpayer money? Debit cards used to by porn? The Road Home program? Motorcycles shops that start selling trailers to the govt.? FEMA? Need I go on?
BTW, if my taxes were not so high. I could d*** well afford any insurance premiums to rebuild my own house. Maybe you missed the part where the homeowners are suing PRIVATE ins. to rebuild their houses after Katrina, not govt. and its program.

College loans:
Last time I looked my check was going to a privately owned bank to pay off my college loan. The private sector can handle this just fine.

Before you claim others are typing screwy carp, you need to do better than this.

Apparently you can not see that you have stated your position, most have disagreed with it, and you ain't going to covert us. So enough is enough. Either do like Randy Weaver and start shooting, or move along to another topic.

If this is true, which I hear it is, this is simply political favors to allow Ned to draw a check. Ned has not practiced law in over 20 years, so this is definatley not Foti needing another great trial attorney. Attorney General contracts are routinely handed out to lawyers as a political favors.

His entire time in Baton Rouge has been one night at the Goold Club and riding home with designated drivers after another. He missed appointments, and critical votes. So no, he is a dumbass lawyer and legislator. Of course he does not run his partying night life and lying in his family value campaign ads, but I know them to be true. Once again, ask some of his own former clients, plenty of them in Deville. Most of them are also democrats. By the way, being a dumbass crosses party lines, look at George W. Bush, a Republican.

I talked to Ned Randolph just the other day and he told me about his new job. To the person who wrote the earlier post about this--It is my understanding that Ned is not going to work as a contract attorney for Gen. Foti. Rather, he is going to work for the attorney general's office in a state position. He will be representing Gen. Foti at Police Jury, city council meetings and other functions throughout central LA, serving as his liaison. (Similar to what Lance Maxwell does for Senator Vitter, or Tommy Sue Seaton for Cong. Alexander.) Ned said he'll also be helping Foti identify deserving programs to award grants, particularly programs serving senior citizens. Also--the person who wrote about this in an earlier post--you have another fact wrong. I am a local attorney and I happen to know that Ned still has a law office (Commercial Building) and continued to practice law--albiet not extensively due to lack of time--thoughout his tenure as mayor. Foti has what 80 lawyers or so statewide. I don't think he needs Ned for that.

Anonymous said...

Dear Local Attorney:

You are entirely wrong. Ned has not practiced law for a very long time. He has received a few curatorships which requires the sending of a certified letter but no legal advising, and not litigation. Do you really think that Ned is up to practicing law? Not a big deal but I just like to keep the feces to a minimum.

Anonymous said...

Foti has what 80 lawyers or so statewide. I don't think he needs Ned for that.

Most jobs with the A.G. 's office are gained through political connections, contract or otherwise. Is it true that Ned needs a little more time for retirement or a source of income? Did that position exist before, or was it created just for Ned? Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Ned doing that liason work, but it was still payback for political favors.

Anonymous said...

Who care if it was payback for political favors? The man served his time as Mayor and did a good job. Shouldn't he be allowed to work any place he wants?

Anonymous said...

We all could use a little help. If Foti wants to throw a barbeque for Ned on his own pocket, that's fine. If we are talking about public funds for unnecessary work, that sux. What sort of work do you think that Ned is now suddenly capable of? I assure you that Ned does not want the reward that he is entitled to for the mire he created.

Sure he should, if he gets the job through his merits and bility in competition with other able applicants. If out state funds are used for political payback as a favor to Ned, then no.

Anonymous said...

I don't mind if someone wants to reward Ned for something but don't use our money to do it. If you love him, you pay him.

Anonymous said...

"Political payback" for Ned from the A. G.? For what? Hogwash. Ned wants to do something for the next couple of years before fully retiring. A.G. wants and needs a liaison here. He plans to name a couple of others as well as in other areas of the state north of I-10. Here it's a win-win situation for the A.G. and for Ned. Ned explored possibilities with various intities. The A.G. heard about it and wanted to talk to him. Things worked out and the A.G. hired him. End of story.

I saw Delores Brewer at 12th Night Ball on Sat. night. She came up to me and my husband and was overly animated and smiling to the point of being bizzare. She said she is doing soooo good. That she didn't realize how much the city and then the campaign dominated her life and that the loss is the best thing that ever happened to her. She said she has gotten a great, job that she'll be announcing soon. She was flitting around and laughing and smiling and trying to attract attention to herself as though she thinks she must prove to herself and others that she is OK, no make that more than OK. No doubt somebody with little to no experience in the practice of law for over the past 20 years, deserves a job with the top lawyer in the state HaHa. And who else was offered the job? Was it advertised for other qualified applicants, how many applied, what criteria was used to determine Ned was the best qualified? Why has Ned been pushing for that job for some time now? How many more qualified lawyers cannot get a job with the Attorney General?

That means Ned has not actually practiced much law or the past 32 years. True, his creditials are impressive for a job in other branches of government, but not in an agency of lawyers. Mayny laws have changed over the past 32 years.
And by the way, starting your argument with the words "You are A FUCKING IDIOT" shows not only your skills at persuasion but also your thought process. Have you thought of becomming a lawyer, with such excellent arguments? You would probably be better than Ned.

Great thing about being an American. If you don't like someone's column, you don't have to read it. You have the freedom to choose the publications and websites that you believe provide you with the most valuable information. That being said, I do believe that at any given time you will find that multiple reporters, columnists, TV political hosts and pundits write about and/or discuss many of the same issues during the course of each week. I, for one, like to read local takes on issues that I am reading and listening to on national and state media levels. In fact, I think the more people engaging in discussion, the better. I also like to read cenlamar.wordpress because the posts are interesting and the posters and those who comment are required to reveal their names. It has been a couple of months since I checked out this site, and from the ugliness of the posts, I see nothing has changed. But again, we all have the freedom to choose not to read what we don't like. I don't like this forum. I am going back to cenlamar, LApolitics, and other favs of mine.

Two words are being thrown around here in relation to Ned working for the A.G--something that has not been confirmed by mainstream media yet, btw.

One word is "corruption" and the other is "cronyism."

"Corruption" is wrongfull, illegal activity. No matter if you agree or disagree with Ned getting the job (if it turns out to be true)it is not illegal or corrupt for the A.G. to hire him. It is the A.G.'s perrogative to hire people to work for him. Legal and above board.

"Cronyism" is politcal appointments made with disregard to one's qualifications. Just about every political appointment is defined as cronyism by some people. Those who think this is cronyism will have a hard time making that case stick in light of Ned's resume. Regarding the law experience, what difference does that make since that's not what he's going to be doing for the A.G.? Sounds like more of a P.R. job.

Plus--even if he were going to handle cases--what about the young lawyers right out of school that are hired by the A.G.? How many years of experience do they have?

Did Ned get the job because he knows people? Hell yes. I would suggest that most people who get political jobs know people. However, that doesn't make him or them unqualified. If indeed this allows Ned to get some kind of state retirement, I am all for it. In my opinion, he has earned it through his years of public service. It's not like they'd be giving it out of the blue to someone who has not worked in the state and local government.

The AG is a political office and makes political appointments for political reasons. My god, could anyone be less qualified to be anything than Jerry Deason. Jerry got there as a favor to Uncle Charlie Wagner. Why all the big shock. The recent law graduates are the ones that do all the lawyer work in the department. That's where Randy Tannihill and Bo Sylvester worked when they were attending Southern Law school. Think it might be political????

Anonymous said...

Everyone does it. It has always been that way. It may not pass the smell test but it is not technically illegal. Blah, Blah, Blah. And Louisiana is not corrupt or rife with cronyism and even if it is, that's alright.

Prosecutors made clear in their summaries of the proceedings against Barré and DeCay that the probe is not over, however. The documents say that Barré used his "connections or perceived connections" to Morial to demand contracts he didn't deserve.

Lamar? Are you paying close attention?

Anonymous said...

Why are you asking Lamar? Why don't you pose the same question to your wife, John?

Anonymous said...

I find it interesting that so much time is being devoted to Ned Randolph and his new association with the AG’s office. Let us take a look at this from another angle, shall we? First, Ned is no longer a public official, he is a private citizen. As such, he was seeking employment with the Louisiana State Attorney General’s office. Apparently, his resume and capabilities are impressive enough for him to have secured the position he was seeking. He is an employee, nothing more.

In his position, he cannot participate in the affairs of COA business, and therefore has no impact on public policy or direction of the COA. I fail to see how anyone could raise any substantial objection to his association with the AG’s office…unless the objections are coming from a different angle.

For the past several years, some political factions in Alexandria have proposed that Ned was mentally incapable of discharging the duties of Mayor. He was said to be sick, infirm, and mentally vacant. With this appointment, these allegations seem to have been proven untrue.

Survey Says….
Logic would have us believe that Ned is capable of discharging his duties at the AG’s office or he would not have been hired. His employment proves his former political enemies to be liars. They may be crying foul, and squealing about political payback just to accomplish a little political CYA.

The feathers and bones have spoken...

A friend of mine called today to tell me someone on this site credited me with writing anonymous, negative comments about Delores and John Brewer. I was not the person who wrote such things. Crediting me as the author of something I did not write is the only way to get me to post on this site. Today and in the event that I ever post again, my name will be attached.

Contrary to the ugly words in the anonymous post, I wish the Brewers health, happiness and peace in the new year. If they have achieved this, I am happy for them.

To anyone who cannot understand why I would express that sentiment to them, or who thinks it's a sport to fan some perceived or real flames, I have this to say:

I have learned that holding on to anger or hatred hurts the person harboring it much more so than the target of such feelings. While I am not attempting to impose my beliefs on anyone else, my own religious and moral beliefs along with life experiences have taught me that forgiveness truly does set me free.

There are two things I try to do that allow me to sleep well at night--one is to try to do the right thing even when that is the more difficult choice, the other is to forgive. As a human being, I fall short all too often. But I know I will never stop trying.

These are my words.

So far, every proposal Lamar has put forth is designed to profit Lamar... Doesn't anyone see a pattern here?

Welcome to Antics Deborah, where truth and facts mean little. And to really makes some points here, you need to curse and make attacks on others' families. Attacking someone's looks, handicaps, and physical attributes will also help you fit in here.

To Anonymous 2:34 p.m.

Wish I had your name. But anyway, I
thank you "Anonymous" for your comments. But I must disagree with you. I certainly did not "endorse" Eustace Mullins or WeSawThat in my column on cenlamar. I said I agreed with a couple of the points WeSawThat made in that one, isolated post. I also attempted to make it clear that I disagreed with the major premise of what WeSawThat wrote--that the Demo and Republican political parties contain carpetbaggers and scalawags or something to that effect. Maybe my response was a little too diplomatic for you. That's probably a fair critique of my response to him.

Please allow me to clearly state that from what I have seen and heard about WeSawThat, the person behind the name has some radical views--which I do not share. However, he or she has the right to possess and express those views. I don't have a clue about the identity of WeSawThat. I will not be "endorsing" whomever that is or anyone else in my column on cenlamar.

As for Eustace Mullins, if he is a "rabid hatemonger," I am glad my audio failed to work. I don't wish to listen to such rants, let alone to endorse them.

I will discuss politics and issues in my column, but I will not endorse political candidates or parties or other figures. During the state Session, I will provide updates on legislation and activities at the state capitol that may be of interest to people in central Louisiana.

I hope you and many others will continue to write about issues that you feel are of interest to folks in our area.

Thanks again for your comments.

Well I don't think anyone would think I look like a toad. However, it is true that I am short and fat.
Why not post your name so we can discuss your looks and short commings? And what is your point anyway? I am not trying to get a job as a model. Yet again an example of mindless attacks instead of having the mental capacity to debate issues. We already know that you are not very bright, and are a coward.
Now did you have an intelligent point to make, or do you simply read this blog daily waiting for another attempt to cowardly attack me?

Anonymous said...

I'll tell you why I read this blog. It does have a few intelligent people who occassionally discuss interesting topics. Also, it is very entertaining, at times, to see how ignorant others are. For example, most in the legal community knew of Chuck Johnson being offered the City attorney job, while all you "in the know" people were several weeks behind on the news.
Additionally, I opened my web site many months before this one, I believe. I do not consider it a blog, yet others are free to leave coments although they are moderated. I did not begin that site to convince others, simply to expose wrongdoing. From hit counters of other web sites that link mine, I do get a feeling that many read it. I also know that many governmental and corporate readers look at it, as I have gotten feedback. However, I do not care if you read it, like it, or agree with it. It will continue nevertheless.
I have no problems with the owner of this blog, and simply think he should moderate it. I realize that this is his blog and he is free to run it as he sees fit, just as I am free to be critical of anonymous unmoderated blogs.
Oh, and by the way, if you have any further questions for me, feel free to develop a backbone and ask me directly.

Like Moses coming down from the Mount, I come here to bring a reason into an unreasonable world. You see I am not a member of any regional blogs nor do I bring in any political biases to the table. The words I am about to cast down are based on the observations i've seen on this site since earlier last year.

Everytime I venture into this domain I see the usual ideology being spewed: "We know everything and we have experience!", "Obviously, you're incorrect because you don't know that person", and "Any innovation will ruin the city!" I am remiss to say that nothing intellectual progresses on this blog because the people who actively run it are unable to accurately capture reality due to their dedication to the ignorance of promising discourse. As such, those involved should be ashamed of their voluntary contribution to this place and should honestly find a new place to spew venom without the tag of "righteousness".

What is the basic problem with Cenla Antics? For one, this is essentially a vehicle for the dissemenation of Republican ideology and the trashing of all those oppose the self-indulgence of the ex-political elite of the area. From what I saw during the mayoral election, a number of contributors pulled their vote for a candidate who constantly lied, had no vision, and represented the old establishment. Well, this is all fine and good. You're allowed to freely discuss your views but you must do so responsibly. What viewers of this site often see is the manufacture of lies and the building of a junior high school setting on which to set into motion the bile-filled agenda from which they believe their vision will compete.

Quint and the GoPAC crew: You constantly try to present negative attacks on those who you disagree with. Your diametric opposition is lauded by the small segment of the population you are a part of. As it stands you are only patting the backs of each other as you present NO alternative to views of others. This is not an effective strategy in running a Political Action Committee. You must present an opposition based upon research, empirical observation, and facts. So far, from the looks of things, you cannot produce anything close to this. Quint, Gena, Randy and crew: Stop. You're a shame to those of us who call ourselves Republicans. I can see why Alexandria has fallen in the years you and your friends were in power. I know now that my support and contributions were only meant to fuel your ineptness and willingness to rise to power. If you consider yourself as political players, we are doomed to your lack of vision, willingness to cooperate, and general racism proposed through the discourse you have presented under your names and those nom d'plumes you write under.

Hell, while i'm on a rant, do you know anything about politics or the actual process of partisan politics? This isn't some realm of Rovian rhetoric nor is it a place where gossip reigns supreme. Political discourse relies on a stated vision and by contributing something "positive" that readers can latch upon. Quoting a candidate and/or defending their position is part of.the process, but you must remember that you have to go along with facts and reasoned beliefs. I've seen none of this in the course of this blogs existence. Perhaps this is a reason why you have not gotten far in city government nor have latched onto anything meaningful. You seem to lack the vision most Republicans have and hardly understand the party itself. You see only greed and power in your affliation with the party. The Republican party does not represent this but you're blinded by this prospect, led forth into the valley of Mammon hoping to drink from the nectar wealth and dominance. This is where you're wrong. This is why you fail. This is why people don't actively pay attention to this blog nor believe its message.

Perhaps you need a guide like Virgil who will allow you to ascend into a position of power. Right now, this blog only reminds me of the sign Dante saw as he descended down into the Inferno: Abandon hope, ye who enter here.

Anonymous said...

No Aymond, you little toad, just like Lamar, you took the idea of CenlaAntics and spun off your own cheap imitation. I suppose Quint should be proud and flattered that his ideas would be copied...

You should know that you will never become part of that society no matter how much you suck up or raise money. You've been cast to the side after your past masters lost interest in you. You're floundering in a pit of rhetorical excrement that you made. This place will never grow as long as you try to impress your masters with the drivel you try to spew from your jizm-laden mouths. No matter how much you suck them off, you're only whoring yourself out for a temporary taste. Come up with your own ideas and vision, bring real progress to the party, quit focusing on the negative and start working on the positive, and most importantly-- see that Alexandria has a real need for real Republicans. Your attempts to impress those above you will only fall on deaf ears since they've realized you can barely manage a blog.

Anonymous said...

I stand corrected. It appears that this blog was started a couple of weeks before I began my web site. This can be confirmed by simply looking at the first post on this blog and the first on my web site. My site is not per se a blog and was on Yahoo where I already had an account. I seem to recall that my first look at this blog was much later, when someone told me about it. I can assure you however, that I did not copy this blog or get the idea from it, whether that is believed or not.
I just wanted to clear up my previous inacurate staement. The poster that calls me tubby, which we don't know what he looks like, would attack me if I simply posted the time of day in here.

Anonymous said...

I don't give a rat's ass about the Republicans or the Democrats or any other group of power mad nutcases. Politics are not of primary interest. But I do like a free speech forum which this guy Quint has provided. And for free. No one else has done so and many are trying to shut it down or censor it, which is all the more reason it is needed. It is amazing how many can't stand freedom but will never admit it. To anyone including themselves.

City Vehicle Misuse

Sources inside the Alexandria city government tell News Channel 5 some employees are using city vehicles for other purposes besides work. Councilmen Roosevelt Johnson says the current policy needs to change and Mayor Jacques Roy agrees.

It was reported to News Channel 5 employees have made practice of using city vehicles for some time now. Vehicles are supposed to stay at the governmental complex but some employees are traveling home, possibly picking up groceries, visiting stores and joy riding. And accidents have occurred with claims filed. Ch. 5 has requested the exact number of accidents and claims to assess just what type of bill the taxpayer is picking up.

Mayor Roy promises change in policy in the next two weeks. We'll keep you updated as more information comes available.

In defense of the council, they have been trying to get a handle on the car use issue for literally years and the administration never cooperated by giving them the data and facts. The administration was always very resistant to any interference in this area. The information must be hard to compile. Nobody knows, for instance, where Despino suddenly got a city car and certainly not why. This committment from Roy is no small gesture. This will be the true test of his committment and his manhood.

Wow here is an idea they should have tried. How bout the City Council demanding the needed information? If they really cared to do anything, that is.

Anonymous said...

I have personally heard Lewis Marshall ask Kelvin and and Harold and Ned for the car information at about a dozen committee meetings over the past couple of years. Everybody is affraid to fuck with employees or take the responsibility for doing something constructive with their unbridled abuse, so nobody pushes. It would have been difficult for Ned to piss away hundreds of thousands of dollars on people like Albin and Ken and complain about waste. Roy is a new broom and he has to make those changes and statements and policies now or forever hold his peace.

I note a disapproving yawn from Spanky. The subject of government waste must below his threshhold of concern. The great minds and philosophers are like that, ya know.

Anonymous said...

The problem with city automobile abuse and waste is that it is so "in our face". It is the sort of personal insult that most of us encounter at least once a day by seeing Despino returning from lunch or one of our expensive police cruisers residing not just out of Alexandria but in Grant or Avoyelles or Nact. parishes. It becomes very difficult for a histrionic player like Roy to ask not what our city can do for us but what we can do for out city when we can see this insulting waste every time we are in the Walmart parking lot or at the bank in Pineville or on the expressway or interstate etc. And of course, we never see the unmarked cars or the cars like Despino's that are very dark in color and have a virtually invisable city crest. I think that a definitive move on this problem will send an inspiring signal to the interested public who Roy seeks to motivate. It will make us "blossum".

Anonymous said...

Why doesn't our News Media request info on our boys across the river. I understand that the good guys over there provide a Car and unlimited gasoline to the co-mayor and that has it available for personal and family use and that he even uses Pineville provided gasolint to take him across the river for his other jobs. Is Pineville not under the same laws as Alexandria and every other municpality regarding the use of Cars and Cellphones and the duty of employees to acccount for the use of public funds and duty to reimburse for personal use? Why is it that our guys over here get scrutinized up the butt but Pineville boys do not even get a second glance from the media?

Everyone who believes that it is not Aymond humping Dupree again and again, form a line at the right. Aaron Rosewood, my ass!

Wasn't me genius. But I can assure you that I will continue "humping" Clarence Dupree and any other politician that I get information on as to breaking laws or ethics. I have no idea who Mr. Rosewood is, but yet again facts and truth do not carry as much weight on this blog as assumptions and prejudices. Believe what you want to believe, it does not affect my course of action at all.
By the way, check out civil suit number 226,484 "City of Pineville vs. Gregory Aymond, in the 9th JDC, where Pineville is seeking to stop me from getting Rich Dupree's emails, off of his City of Pineville computer. Pineville claims that RIch's emails are too numerous and have a "high expectation of privacy". Fortunately for me, it will be Judge Swent who decides this case and not this blog.

I remember Aaron Rosewood. We graduated from Georgia Tech together in 1983. Aaron is for real, even if we both have unlisted telephone numbers. Forgive us if Greg Aymond is our hero!

Nothing from John Sams lately! His political pull must be zero now. The City of Alexandria finally picked up that discarded toilet in his front yard. That damn eyesore was out there since before Christmas. The least Dr. Sams could have done was hang Christmas decorations on it. His neighbors were thinking of decorating it with a Mardi Gras flag, then a St. Patrick's Day flag.............

Yeh, what is deal with Chuck?

Why does Roy need a high-priced contract spokesperson - I thought Ken Juneau was in the past. They must just have money to burn. Does he have a care or a car allowance?

Anonymous said...

I guess you guys will have to learn everything from the Town Talk, since you clearly don't have a clue about who's going to work for Roy as a publicist.

Anonymous said...

The Town Talk is who told us that official statements were coming thru Juneau. I assume that you are talking about former ace reporter, Billy Gunn, who has disappeared on extended leave to an unexplained place for an unexplained reason for an undefined period. Remember, he was supposed to be back by now.

Anonymous said...

Gunn is back.
I'm talking about someone else.

Anonymous said...

Let me answer these two, one at a time OK?

Why is it that our guys over here get scrutinized up the butt but Pineville boys do not even get a second glance from the media?

Maybe it's because the "Media" has already looked it it and founf nothing there???? When you can get positive proof of public vehicle abuse in Pineville, like we already have in Alexandria, bring it to the TT, KALB, or any other medis source. Untill then shut up.

By the way, check out civil suit number 226,484 "City of Pineville vs. Gregory Aymond, in the 9th JDC, where Pineville is seeking to stop me from getting Rich Dupree's emails, off of his City of Pineville computer. Unfortunately Aymond, you'll be arguing your position against Jimmy Faircloth, a REAL attorney. He'll spank your ass just like he's done before. Besides, when a little piss ant like you makes the public statement:
"Sure I'm making this thing with Dupree personal, I'm going to do my best to screw up everything he does and make his life a living hell. If I have to call companies who are looking at Pineville as a place to locate, and run them off to make the Mayor and Dupree look bad...I'll do it."
We all know you're fishing for information you can twist and lie about Aymond....that's your style. You're a liar, and a thief
Yes Aymond, I know about the padded bills you submitted to WW#3. You should be glad that Greg Jones convinced the Board NOT to persue you about those or your ass would be disbarred. But remember tubby, those invoices are still on file at WW#3 and are public information...

He was unable to do so in the past lol. To prove that you are a liar once and for all, give the dockt number and parties names to any lawsuit Jimmy Faircloth ever completely won against me. Prove once and for all either you are a liar or I am. As to one I one against he and Pineville see the Bobby Mickels case decided by Judge Ryland (although Jimmy did have a a portion of the federal suit dismissed).
Also you continue to credit me with Rosewood's post. I have denied it, can you prove it was me? You are a big mouthed liar who spews his venom on this blog with no regard to even attempting the truth. Can you prove anything that you say? Do you even care to tell the truth?
Print your name and I will sue you for calling me a theif. Additionally, if you have any proof of my padding bills, you should report it to the district attorney, the Legislative Auditor and the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Once again, put up or shut up you lying coward.

Is there no person on this blog that will step up and denounce such slander, where one accuses another of crimes, anonymously, and yet fails to provide specifics or turn the allegations over to the authorities? Is anyone on this blog opposed to anonymous unfounded slander? Is this your idea of discussion of matters of public importance?
It is time for you bloggers to show your true colors. If you want this blog to return to the credibility it once had, you need to speak up. If you do not speak up, that speaks poorly of you.

Anonymous said...

I will stand up for this blog and for truth and honesty - words that, in my opinion, do not find a place on your resume Aymond. You are a depressed, sociopath that is only interested in destroying people. Look at your own blog site nothing but negativism. You must be the most unhappiest person on the face of the earth.

Why don't you get positive, forget your hatred for everyone from across tha done you wrong and enter the real world. Aymond you are your own worst enemy. Your twisting of words "completly won against me" shows the depth of your deceit. Your a worm, a liar and are Aran Rosewood. As the old adage goes "It is lawyers like you that give the 25 of lawyers (the good ones) a bad name.

Should have read: 2% good ones

Hey Aymond I just figured out your legal tactics - sling enough shit against the wall and maybe something will stick. Maybe if you sue enough people you might win a suit.

Anonymous said...

I denounce you in the name of Aymond. That should do it. Mr. Aymond has avoided his compulsion to harp on his obsession on this blog as a courtesy to all of us who, regardless of the merit of his position, requested that he releive us of the burden of boring repetition, etc. I thank and respect him for that. It also appears that Mr. Aymond puts his $$$ where his mouth is. That doesn't make him right but it does make him sincere and courageous. So please let sleeping lawyers lie on this blog and quit periodically poking Aymond with a sharp stick just to hear him squeal. And speaking of sleeping lawyers, what happened to Billy Allen last week?

Aymond...as long as you post on this blog, it will not be credible. If you want it's credibility reinstated...stay on your own blog.

Your grudge and your attack sound entirely personal against Aymond. I think that Aymond deserves our attention because of his thurough documentation of his position. It gives us an opportunity to think thru the issues. Even if you don't like Aymond, you should welcome his thoughts and objectively consider is viewpoint. Personal attacks, by or against Aymond or his arch rival, Dupree, add nothing to credibility or pursuasion. So, if you don't like the posters on this blog, YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Thank you Greg Aymond!

The only one who believes Aymond is Aymond. He has absolutely NO credibility at all in this community.

Ao one time he swore he would never post here again. All of us breathed a sigh of relief. Now, like a returning virus, he's back making us all miserable.

I guess live on his own blog is so lonely he has to return...he can't stand it.

Anonymous said...

First you idiot, learn to use spell check. Then...take a look at your own words:

" thurough documentation of his position."

Name one, just one of Aymond's allegations which has been proven in any court, civil or criminal...JUST ONE!

You can't because AYMOND IS A LIAR!

By the way, the joke of an ethics board, here in Louisiana, is not a court of law...

Anonymous said...

Mr. Aymond…a quote has been attributed to you.

"Sure I'm making this thing with Dupree personal, I'm going to do my best to screw up everything he does and make his life a living hell. If I have to call companies who are looking at Pineville as a place to locate, and run them off to make the Mayor and Dupree look bad...I'll do it."

Do you deny you said this?

It has also been said the real motivation behind your public information request for Dupree’s e-mails and phone records is your desire to discredit Dupree and Mayor Fields. It has been speculated that you wish to “fish” through those e-mails and phone records to locate businesses who wish to re-locate to Pineville and “poison the well” so they will choose another location.

Is this also true?

If it is, then your petty desire to wage war against Dupree endangers the entire economic health of Central Louisiana. Judging from your past actions, we know that this sort of campaign on your part, is plausible.

If not, give us your reason for wanting Dupree’s phone records and his e-mail records. I, for one, am curious as to what motivated this request.

Anonymous said...

Do you deny you said this?

I empahtically deny saying that. Prove that I did !!
Confidential communiications between attorney and client prohibit me from answering your other questions, except that I can say I am investigating certain allegations against Dupree. Unlike most on the Blog, I will not repeat them unless and until I have proof. Additionally, both myself and my cleint are seeking those emails because the Public Records law says that we have a right to do so and do not have to state a reason.

Anonymous said...

That's all true.

Aymond, are you trying to get the e-mails from Dupree's account at the City of Pineville or his personal e-mail account?

Anonymous said...

To further clarify my poistion, I personally know that Rich Dupree is a liar. I also have been given information on various acts Dupree may be in violation of certain laws. I am investigating those allegations, and if I find any proof of them, I will turn it over to the proper authorities, not to the media. Other than investigation Dupree, which will continue whether you like it or not, I have absolutely no intention of in anyway contacting any businesses thinking of locating in Pineville. Now why did you ask me to respond when you do not believe anything I say anyway?
I will say this however, the Louisiana Revised Statutes and State Constitution provide a citizen with the right to see public records. Those same statutes contain many exemptions on what IS NOT a public record. I only want the emails that ARE public records. These rumors about contacting businesses have possibley been put forth by persons associated with Dupree. What does Rich have to hide in his emails? Judge Swent will see the emails, and it is she who will decide which ones are public or not. She will make her decision based upon law and evidence, not upon what the scholars on this blog think.

Anonymous said...

Why does the term "a client of Aymond" bring such a horrible mental picture to the forefront?

Anonymous said...

Aymond, are you trying to get the e-mails from Dupree's account at the City of Pineville or his personal e-mail account?

The actual public records request reads: "All e-mails to or from Rich Dupree for the past five (5) years on any computer at the City of Pineville, or contained in any archives."

Anonymous said...

I was under the impression that anything that was done on the public's computer or public's account is public record. I would like to see them also.

Anonymous said...

Just like the tape recordings which were devestating I would suggest that Mr Aymond avoid this back and forth and just come back with whatever there is if anything and let the evidence and facts speak for themselves. I can think of nothing more factual than a posting of the entiretly of what you find on this site Mr Aymond if anything. I have gone back and listened to the tapes of the telephone recordings and I am shocked and disappointed. I am equally surprised that nothing more has been said about it. So , with that in mind even if your disclosure of improper activity I would not be confident that this community cares. However, I never discourage the disclosure of public information and am interested in what if anything you find. Please post it here or somewhere for all of us to review. BUT, in the mean time I see no benefit in debating people and letting some obvious advocates for the people involved to take cheap shots at your expense. Let the facts speak not the advocates.

Anonymous said...

I think the law says anything that is produced or received is public records and that we as the public are entitled. So the fact that our servants are not wanting us to see our records seems kinda suspicious.

Anonymous said...

What keeps them from removing the emails from their machine and telling you that you got them all?

Anonymous said...

Isn't there a cost involved in obtaining public records?

Anonymous said...

We have gone weeks now without this issue coming back up on this blog - How the hell did we digress to this point?

We've actually had intellectual and non-intellectual discussion for that matter on a myriad of subjects that did not mention Aymond, Dupree, WW#3, emails, libel, slander or a lawsuit. What moron has brought all of this up and forced Mr. Aymond to yet again take us down this path????

Can we get back to a REAL issue and let Aymond and Dupree duke it out before Swent?

Anonymous said...

They are just gonna delete the ones they do not want to turn over. What is the point?

Anonymous said...

There's always a trace.

Anonymous said...

naaaaaaaaaaaa.....not in this case

Anonymous said...

If Dupree deletes e-mails in order to avoid turning over materials in a public records request, wouldn't that be fraud?

Couldn't someone produce an e-mail from Dupree that had been deleted? E-mails are at least a two way conversation.

it Does Not matter. We love Pineville and we do not care if they do anything so called improper. We have a new Walgreens. So, you stop it. They do NOT have to follow the rules if they don't want to. You might not have heard but no one ran against them last time so that proves we love them and they do not have to answer to us if they do not want to. We have a pancake house too.

Anonymous said...

And we are a Tree City! Despite all the clear cutting that is going on we got a placque and everything so there. Oh and our sign. Its really neat .Our Mayor talks about it everywhere he goes. And NO its not a big gold tooth as my cousin thought its a PINECONE cause this is Pineville and so that proves we are good people and stuff because no one would know that they had come into Pineville if they didnt have the sign. What does Alexandria have? Nothing . Just a green sign that says Alexandria . See, that shows we are smarter. So, our people are clearly better . We do not care about any public records they smile a lot and talk about God and flags and stuff and I know that they will look out for us and we do not have to know anything. Leave them alone. We got a big indoor playground here too. We wouldnt have that here if we didnt have this Mayor and stuff. He does it. Thank you Mayor and friends.

Anonymous said...

Why should we have any rights to see what our elected officials do even if the law says we can. Why is that any of our business? Troublemaker.

Anonymous said...

Does the law really say that we can see any emails to or from the City? Where does it say that?

Anonymous said...

Anonymous 1:38 don't you realize that Aymond's life is so fucking boring and dull he is the one that keeps posting the shit as anonymous and then replies as Aymond? Who in their right mind would start a conversation with him or post a topic concerning him?

What other lawyer in Rapides Parish has time to spend on this blog all day? He epitimizes the word loser.

Anonymous said...

I find him entertaining at best. But his effort to get that stuff appears to be something he or you or I would have a right if we did have time and wnated to wouldnt we?...and this isnt Aymond

Anonymous said...

And I'm not Aymond either.

Anonymous said...

Why are they not just turning over the information if it is public property? do they decide what is and is not public? Not aymond

Anonymous said...

No, the judge decides.

Anonymous said...

But we have a new car lot!!

...and don't forget Pineville has 2 NEW Hotels and one NEW Convention center being built. 2 NEW Shopping complexes. A $200-million expansion of Proctor & Gamble. PlastiPak, a NEW 500,000 sq. foot Plastics Plant. A NEW 165-acre Recreation Complex. 6 NEW Subdivisions...and the State's Cleanest City (3-times) with the best Police and Fire protection on either side of the river! Not bad if you want to be fair and not so blind to reality!

What Aymond ain't telling ya'll is that COP has already told him he can have them all...but...Title 44, Section C.(1)a says: "The custudian may establish and collect reasonable fees for making copies of public records."

COP wants Aymond to pay for the copies, and since there are thousands of e-mails involved, they don't want to go to the effort to copy all the e-mails and have Aymond refuse to pay for them. COP wanted Aymond to post a BOND against the cost of copting the e-mails. He refused...they are going to court to settle it.

And another thing. Can't you see the pattern? What Aymond is trying to do here is set a legal precedent. If he can get Swent to say everything is public, then according to Sec 44, he can tie up the entire staff at COP searching for ever e-mail ever produced or receibed at COP, without spending a dime!

Aymond is a very clever guy...he hides behind his lawyer bluster and nobody actually questions him. He's hiding behind the atty/client thing right now. He has no client, he just doesn't want to answer the question.
Think about it, if he was suing the COP on behalf of a client, we would know who the client is, it would be on the lawsuit. But, the suit he points to is COP vs AYMOND! Pineville is suing him in an attempt to get him to post the bond so they can discharge their obligation set out in title 44.

If he really wanted the e-mails for the information they contained, he could file suit on behalf of his make believe client and get the e-mails as part of discovery. File a Motion to Compell and have COP produce the e-mails.

Instead Aymond filed a Public Information Request or PIR just to be a pain in the ass to COP and cost them money.

But...Faircloth, the City Atty. called his bluff and said..."OK Aymond, you want the copies, you can have them all. The cost of the copies will be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$, and before we begin copying, you have to post a bond to prove you're serious."

Since Aymond is broke, cause he's a crappy lawyer, he don't have the money to post the bond.

Anybody who really wants to see the kind of guy this little turd really is, should just ask a few questions around town or go to the courthouse and take a look at some of the vindictive bullshit he's been involved in.

He's a first class ass.

And to the idiot who said the tapes he put on WeSawThat's blog prove something...listen again, carefully this time. You won't hear Dupree say ANYTHING Aymond claims he said.
