Foti versus Alexander

Foti = Landrieu = New Orleans old school machine
Alexander = local boy, energetic NOT a member of the machine.

I know both of these gentleman. My family ties with Foti go back aways, my grandfather taught Charlie's mother how to drive. They lived across the street from one another.

I met Royal while he was Clyde Holloway's Chief of Staff. I've only known Royal for around 5 or 6 years now and would gladly cast my vote in his direction.

You can bet by the way that AG Foti will allow Mr. Breaux to run. You have no idea how entrenched the "New Orleans" crowd is ... or perhaps I should say south Louisiana.

Wake up people, before long we won't have a population much less a coast line.

Yes, she worked at Walker Passman. But who lets a few facts get in the way.

Isn't her husband also an attorney? Maybe she switched to the city because she wants to help this town, maybe because the hours are better for a young mother, but I am sure it is not for the money, or for the power. Good Grief!

Anonymous said...

Yup her husband is an attorney. God help us if they reproduce.

Just what we need more attorneys.

How long was she with Waler Passman after she left the State?

Anonymous said...

No what we really need are more idiots like you Anon 7:02:00 PM.

Anonymous said...

"Are you sure? I recall her being in private practice before taking the position of Asst. City Attorney about a yeat ago."

Wasn't she an Assistant AG for the State? Maybe her abilities are so limited she can only make a living being a government employee. Wonder why she didn't stay in private practice and make all that money?

Hi Gregg - how the hell are you?

How is the plumbing business? Greg Aymond, Attorney at Law and Plumber.

"There is no legally recognized conflict of interest, in situations where a city provides and administrative procedure to review its own matters. Most state and federal agtencies do the same, such as DEQ, Social secrurity, and the same thing happens with traffic tickets in smaller towns and villages. You always have a right to go to court, if you disagree with the administrative decision.

OH BULL SHIT

AN APPELITE PROCESS IS SUPPOSED TO BE IMPARTIAL. SHE IS BIASED. IF FOR NO OTHER REASON WHO SIGBNS HER PAY CHECK?

Would one of you learned and sophisticated persons go and read the article in the Town Talk about Myron Lawson leaving the Southern U. board and attempt to explain it to me. I read it 4 times and still don't get it.

Thank you.

Your response is so typical of the narrow minded thinking all to prevalent on this blog. Mrs. Sylvester along with countless other professional level City employees have been lambasted ad nauseum regarding their qualifications (or lack thereof in your opinion) and their inability to survive in the real world.

You wrongly assume that all City employees are career trough drinkers who were hired through graft, coruption, political favors, or some other mutually beneficial arrangement.

Quite frankly I've had enough. If all you care to do is use this blog as forum to spout your hurtful, venomous propoganda then please spare us. If you have something meaningful to say, then please join us.

I for one will not stand for these attacks should they ever find their sights on me. Those lobbing such stones shall be held accountable to the most stringent definition of "slander and libel" possible.

Have a nice day!

i can't believe you won't accept lawson's explanation for stepping down at the same time the chairmen stepped down following a closed door meeting discussing sexual harrassment charges against the chairmen. the two step downs can't possibly be related, and i understand that lawson is just too much of a leader on the board, and doesn't want to impact the results. he is looking after Southern above his own self interests.

Laura:

Stop responding to the idiots on this board by trying to defend yourself, your career or your position.

A friend.

Thanks "Friend", but trcst me I am not Laura.

Myron has a unique way of thinking. Think of his situation in terms of the President and Vice President. If Myron had been Ford, when Nixon resigned, he would have said, I don't want ot be president, so I am running off to hide until you get a new one and then I'll come back an be vice president again.
Can Myron pick and chose when he will do his duty as Vice president? Does Myron have other reasons for not wanting to assume the presidency? Shouldn't Myron, using the same logic, also step down from the City Council, pending his ethics board investigation?

Myron's mugshot was also on the front page of the Baton Rouge Advocate today. If he was trying to avoid the perception of unethical behavior, he just made the exact wrong move.

Greg, you transparent little toad, why don't you just sign your name so we all will know which posts to skip?

Let a second, unsolicited anon make a few remarks:

"Mrs. Sylvester along with countless other professional level City employees have been lambasted ad nauseum regarding their qualifications (or lack thereof in your opinion) and their inability to survive in the real world."

They can't. If they could they would be out making the big bucks. If you would have paid attention in Business 101 the object is to maximize your income. Their abilities (or lack thereof) only allows them to be public servants. Mike Small's fee for one murder case is more than an Assistant Attorney will earn in a lifetim.

"Quite frankly I've had enough. If all you care to do is use this blog as forum to spout your hurtful, venomous propoganda then please spare us. If you have something meaningful to say, then please join us."

So you have had enoug - so what? I fail to understand the point yoru trying to make.

"I for one will not stand for these attacks should they ever find their sights on me. Those lobbing such stones shall be held accountable to the most stringent definition of "slander and libel" possible."

If attacks are based upon facts - evidence it is not slander and libel. "
those that live in glass houses..., "keep your power dry..."
Trite bu appropriate.

If the anon poster needs assistance in proving that Sylvester has slandered and libeled folks it can happen. She is exactly as she has been described. Only problem is - I got de facts in writing.

Sincerely

Wow....just wow.

Nice grammar and punctuation.

Dumb Ass!

The story about Lawson has also made "The Dead Pelican" website.

How narrow minded and short sighted. If you are surrounded by such incompetent oafs then I suggest you head for the border with all due haste.

Bring it on big boy; we could all use a little excitement.

The Lawson situation was the lead story on the 10 pm news. Is this really a big deal?

Anonymous said...

What about that My Space profile of Myron Lawson? It's obvious he didn't post that embarrassing thing himself. Can someone just make up a profile on another person and put it on that site? If so, that is scary.

looks like the former mayor of opelousas is taking myron's place on the southern board.

http://www.theadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070423/NEWS01/704230314/1002

"Two former employees at Southern University at New Orleans have sued the Southern Board of Supervisors, SUNO, Anderson and others, alleging they were fired because they turned in the school for reporting incorrect enrollment figures after Hurricane Katrina to get additional state and federal money."

what's going on here? seems like this may be more than just a sexual harassment suit.

Looks like the fun is about to begin in the Rich Dupree matter...

Anonymous said...

Just read the Dupree thing, is that all they have? Wow blog investgation is silly and lame.

Anonymous said...

Hahahahahaha Hahahahahahahaha.....

No, Rich....that isn't all they have!!!

Anonymous said...

yeah i just read it all too. pretty weak. is this what aymond's been whining about? the aces and louisiana college? give me a break

Anonymous said...

Getting a little nervous, Nathan???

Worried about those Dumar deals????

Anonymous said...

You call a free ticket to the Aces game "no big deal" ??

Anonymous said...

Well it seems that we have heard from Rich, Nathan and Faircloth. Sounds like Al Capone saying "Is that all they got is tax evasion"?

Anonymous said...

You call a free ticket to the Aces game "no big deal" ??

hahahaha YES. I call a free ticket to an ACES GAME NO BIG DEAL.

get real.

Anonymous said...

Aymond has screamed foul before and his "investigations" have turned up nada. He's a certified liar with no credibility. Just look at everything he has claimed was wrong and the courts smacked him down.
Hebron waterline..........Lost
1st suit against Dupree...Lost
Appeal on Dupree..........Lost
E-mail hearing............Lost
Ethics hearings on WW#3...Lost

and on top of all that, he was fired from WW #3 for lying and padding his bills. Now he's even screaming that the current attorney for the water board has somehow done something wrong by settling a lawsuit. Something lawyers do every day.

Nahhh, Aymond is a certified nut case, all mouth and no ass to back it up. Aymond used the ethics board because he can scream "guilty" by the fact that charges were filed.

That's like saying any of us are guilty of murder because we got a speeding ticket.

Anonymous said...

"Aymond has screamed foul before and his "investigations" have turned up nada."

Gee....for someone who is just screaming foul, he sure has YOUR attention!!!

Middle of the night post???? Can't sleep????

I wonder why you spend your insomniac hours spewing off about Aymond????

Did Greggie hit a nerve? Hmmmmmmmm

"No, no, no, no, no," said Mark Falcon when asked if Lawson had been a target in the investigation of board Chairman Johnny Anderson on sexual harassment complaints, made by unnamed Southern employees.

Shame on us for doubting Myron!
