Bewildered!

This little project has exploded beyond belief. However not all of the content is worthwhile and even belongs on this blog. I was taught that a gentleman never speaks of sex, religion or politics in polite company. However are these not three very interesting topics? They do seem to generate debates with great energy. This being said, we can operate with a a certain amount of decorum, after all we are all "gentlemen" and "ladies".

If it has nothing to do with politics, it has nothing to do with this site. Personal insults are uncalled for and unnecessary. I have become a hall monitor!

Yes, for those who can't focus, this site has been disrupted by several candidates campaigns. Seeds of discontent have been sewn in all campaigns. It is inevitable with blogs.

The old adage "Opinions are like back sides, everyone has one!" is true. Some of them are sensible, some are not. Let's stick to the game folks ... half time is over.

Regarding the ASH straw poll--did the ASH students pick the winner in the past 5 elections of all kinds or the past 5 mayoral elections? The reason I ask is that it wouldn't mean as much if it's mayoral only because come on--Alexandria mayor for the past five terms has been pretty easy to pick. Interesting if it's the actual past five elections around here...congressional, presidential, legislators, etc.

Lets give Ned the benifit of the doubt and say he was bullied into the veto. The office and the fees for little work was not connected to his veto. Just Leduex's kindness toward his good friend not quid quo pro. However there is no doubt that he did get a law office, any one can check that out, and the City lost a pipeline.

Has anyone seen the Brewer commercial where she's wearing the safety goggles and the other guy is wearing the hard hat? It's great.

I really love her presentation on Mike Shelton's new building.

Anonymous said...

In regards to the ASH election, it has correctly predicted the last five elections.

Anonymous said...

The guy in the hard hat is none other than ROY O. MARTIN III.

Anonymous said...

Are we supposed to be impressed???

What does this mean?

From the commercial: "When I think about new jobs, I see people taking care of their families, their children, and their grandparents, and nothing's more important than that."

Total political fluff.

I too predicted that the runoff would include Joe Fuller. I previously thought that it would be Brewer in the race, but if this blog is any indication, she IS sinking fast.

Anonymous said...

The election is being postponed due to some problems with some of the precincts. The candidates all know about it. This is going to be very interesting.

Anonymous said...

Please elaborate.

Anonymous said...

The ASH kids made informed decisions in the mock vote. There was a forum at ASH yesterday in which all candidates spoke and answered questions.

Problems only with city council precincts regarding the maps drafted by planning commission and sent to Justice Dept. as a result of city council reapportionment done in 2002. Sec. of State being contacted to inquire whether to delay two races or proceed. Only affects the Hobbs/Hickman and the Silver/Lampert races. Won't affect the mayor's race or at large city council race because those boundaries are drawn correctly. The council candidates are aware of the problem and want the delay.

Anonymous said...

they better not delay the mayor's race. at the rate brewer is sinking, she will be in negative numbers.

I am the 7:23 AM commenter but not the 7:28 guy. Read again my comments and they don't mention anything about your family. I am not responsible for the 7:28 comments. Get your facts staight before you make accusations. Sound familiar.

Anonymous said...

The City Council cannot delay the election. An injunction would have to be filed. So far, I don't think this has happened. The election will occur on Sept 30th.

Anonymous said...

Maybe Lamar is not in the loop and just wants to live through someone else' popularity. Maybe he is making those comments about his family to get sympathy and notoriaty.

Anonymous said...

No one said the council is trying to stop the election. Sec. of State is being consulted. Also, there is talk one of the candidates will have his attorney file an injunction. You are right. So far, that has not happened. Stay tuned.

My sincere apologies, 7:23AM. I meant to say 7:28AM and 7:44AM.

To answer your questions, I am quite certain that Mr. Roy would answer your questions as he has answered mine, and I haven't appointed myself in any role; I've just taken an interest, asked questions, and found that Jacques Roy is approachable, kind, and passionate, all qualities I think we need in a mayor.

Okay, now that we have established that a pipeline deal was quashed that could have allowed the city to purchase natural gas on the open market at the best deal available, can we now concede that the power plant would appear more efficient with a better priced fuel? Where would we be vis-avis Cleco if we did not have the ability to generate our own power? We alrady know that the utility department generates surplus funds that is redistributed through the general fund to subsidize the transit system. Imagine what kind of surplus the utilities could generate if we were producing opur own power and had accounts like Union Tank Car. Oh by the way, did you folks realize that CLECO has that account? Also I heard it in the wind that the Louisiana Convention Center will have its utilities turned back on or else they would rat out another competing motel/convention center that is in arrears also. Have any of you heard the whisper?

Very intersting that MRS Mayor, Clarence Fields gave contributions to non other than ROOSEVELT JOHNSON his self......what do we make of that? I thought his only contributor was his feet.

Anonymous said...

I lifted this from the KSYL site.

IT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE LAST YEAR. BUT, IT WASN’T AND ALEXANDRIA UTILITY CUSTOMERS PAID THE PRICE WITH SKYROCKETING UTILITY BILLS. THIS YEAR THE CITY IS LOCKING IN IT’S COST FOR NATURAL GAS AT A PRICE WELL BELOW THE COST OF LAST YEAR. THIS DECEMBER THE CITY WILL PAY BETWEEN $8.29 AND $9.93 PER MILLION BTU’S OF GAS. IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY THE COST WILL BE A FIXED $8.29 PER MILLION. LAST YEAR, INDECISION ON THE PART OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND ADVERSE CONDITIONS, LEFT THE CITY PAYING BETWEEN $15 AND $16 PER MILLION BTU’S.

Guess what? Todays natural gas price was 4.91 mmbtu. Looks like we got real f----ing braniacs on the council. All they had to do was listen to the news before they signed the 18-month contract and they would know that pricing pressures were easing and they should float pricing for a while. Now we are locked in for almost double the current price.

If that's all you can throw at Brewer, you got nothing going. You keep threatening a big attack. Is this blog stuff and that dumb website you guys established on her the extent of your arsenal? You boys are so funny.

Anonymous said...

No one I know wants the campaign to get negative. Not for Brewer, Roy, Johnson or any of the candidates sakes. But are you making threats specifically to the Brewer family and Mrs. Brewer's supporters? I don't think supporters of Brewer or Roy or any of the candidates condone negative attacks. Just b/c someone is for a candidate does not mean they want to be associated with that. And, I don't think the Roy supporters or the Smith or Johnson, etc. candidates would appreciate it if your posting were directed at them.

Anonymous said...

All i know is that I understand there is a group that is about to unload some 'unfavorable" truthful information re Brewer and those who control her and her campaign. Do not know details but understand it all starts soon.

Anonymous said...

I don't think Roy supporters like Tommy Antoon would appreciate being threatened by another camp. Or Sams supporters like Biff would appreciate that kind of threat. That's really out of line. I think that tactic would backfire bigtime on whoever would do that.

Results mixed in children's presidential election polls
Tuesday, October 26, 2004

By Eleanor Chute, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Nationwide presidential election polls of school children are by no means scientific, but their organizers claim they usually are right.

This time, somebody has to be wrong.

Nickelodeon's underage voters made Sen. John F. Kerry the clear winner, but the mock elections by Weekly Reader and Channel One News gave President Bush a decisive victory.

Kerry received 57 percent of the vote in the Nickelodeon poll, but Bush received 65 percent from Weekly Reader and 55 percent from Channel One News.

Combined, the organizations recorded more than 2 million votes, most of them online.

Channel One News says it predicted the last presidential election right. Nickelodeon is claiming total success since it started the poll in 1988.

And Weekly Reader's release said it has picked the winner in 11 of the last 12 presidential elections.

"There's no earthly reason to think any poll of young people or students is a reflection of what voting age voters do," Adam Clymer, political director of the National Annenberg Election Survey.

How does one find out how much in legal fees were paid over the last few years and to whom? How does this compare to the police jury and other cities with similar populations?

Anonymous said...

Anonymity is necessary because: 1. eliminates ad hominem attacks. 2. eliminates backlash. 3. Eliminates use of force since people will not be subject to losing their jobs. 4. Eliminates frivolous lawsuits by lawyers who love using force. 5. Allows whistle blowers carte blanche. 6. Adversaries can't attack informers' families. 7. I don't have to see Lamar's name on this blog again or listen to anymore shit about his goofy, boring family. 8. Allows those who otherwise would not participate to share their opinions without fear. 9. Repercussions to business are eleminated. 10. Public figures can speak freely. I'm sure there are many more but I suggest We try it or just nom de plumes for awhile.

Anonymous said...

One can found out the legal fees expended through a public records request. It should be kept in mind that the expenses to the City Attorny have always been questionable, as Trey Gist and the Provosty firm have done much more City representation that whomever the City Attorney has been. Also recall, that although there can be occasion for an attorney with a particular field of expertise, the City Attorney job is solely political and has never been based upon knowledge, experience or skill. The same goes for the contract lawyers. It's not what you know, its who you know.

Anonymous said...

Please excuse the typo (beat you to it Lamar).

Anonymous said...

The anon that blogged about the pipeline deal had most of the facts correct. However he/she did not list the one good thing that came out of this, the new transport contract with Lig which saved the City about $300,000 per year. This would not have happened without the pipeline deal.
I was there through the whole thing and was 100% for building the Pipeline and still think it was the best option, but to blame Ned for his stand now is not fair. I have no personal knowledge about the reason for the law office being provided so I will not comment on that.
During that time period Ned and his adminstration were doing good things for this City and I am proud to have been there and part of it, I hope people will remember that and not judge us all by the last year of so.

Any candidate who slings mud at another candidate on tv loses me. We have to stand up and stop allowing these tactics to be successful in campaigns. That's the only way it'll stop. It's our own fault if we don't.

Anonymous said...

So DB, her family AND her biggest supporters like Roy. O, III, Wayne Denley, Rick Ranson, Blake Chatlain, Provosty, Sadler and Scarlett and all those Republican women who work her headquarters are gonna have dirt thrown on them by some independent group? I'll bet that if that happens, the camp behind it WILL be exposed...Just like with the Beck request.

Anonymous said...

Ranson is not "with" Brewer. He appears on her report because he did not know Jaques was going to run when she asked him for support. Stop name dropping if you don't know what you're talking about.

Anonymous said...

Ranson is on her finance committee. Takes her around town to meet with people. It is you who do not have your facts right.

Anonymous said...

People can support a certain candidate and still think highly of another. I think other than those very close to DB and Roy, many people like both.I hear a lot of people say they hope one or the other is elected because they are the best of the field. It's unfortunate that some folks get so nasty. It takes away from an important discussion of the issues.

Anonymous said...

Ranson got saddled with that BEFORE he knew Jaques was running. He doesn't even live in Alexandria anymore. Watch where he goes in the run-off and quit slandering the him. He's a decent, honest guy. Are you?

Anonymous said...

Yes. I am very honest. In fact, it would be wrong and stupid to make that up. Ranson IS a great and honest guy. He's strongly supporting Delores but he obviously likes Jacques. Nothing wrong with that.

Anonymous said...

Jaques will need Brewer's people in the run-off. Its gonna get rough by November.

Anonymous said...

If only one out of Roy and DB is in the runoff, I predict and hope that lots of people from the opposite camp would jump on board. DB and Roy are heads and tails above the rest of the candidates. Lord help us if these two were to both go down. I can't even think about that. I think I'd have to move away, too.

Anonymous said...

Just because some people have chosen to support one candidate doesn't mean they dislike every other candidate. And it shouldn't mean that they get picked on by the other camps. Remember that whomever is in the runoff will NEED the people who supported other candidates. This is particularly true for Brewer and Roy. I think it's a tactical mistake to pick on supporters. If candidates have to go negative, the only fair game is to target the opponent him or herself. If it's done to supporters--forget about getting their support if its needed in a runoff.

Ransom is part of the business group who has commissioned the weekly "tracking poll" ya'll keep hearing about. They are trying to predict the outcome of the primary so they can throw last minute money at the likely front runner. They will also supply "street money" to the same candidate.

Because of Ransom's past ties to Brewer, he was given the task of parading her around town to "hedge" the group's bet. Currently the tracking poll has Brewer standing a close 4th, just a whisker behind Johnson. Front runner is Roy, with Fuller running in second.

I'll throw my hat in for Roy and Fuller in the run-off.

To Anon at 8:57:08, no you vile coward, I was fired from the waterworks so that they could cover up Roy Hebron's illegal waterline. If you care for facts, which I doubt, the minutes of their meetings are available, and will show that I was their lawyer for 16 years, which they annually renewed each year. In fact, the day they got rid of me, they first congradualated me on an successfully setteling a ten year lawsuit against the State.
So, oh ignorant vile one, If I was a bad lawyer, how stupid does that make the Waterworks commissions for keeping me for 16 years? Next time anyone says I am a bad lawyer, go to the courthouse and compare the number of cases I have won and to the number I have lost. Anon, are you perhaps one of the four crooks that have been removed from the Board during the past 2 years?
My appologies to all readers that I responded to this clown, as if I post the time on here he seems to be unable to control himslef from calling me fat. Anonymous said...

Hey Greggy, lets look at your lies, one by one shall we?

"I was fired from the waterworks so that they could cover up Roy Hebron's illegal waterline. If you care for facts, which I doubt, the minutes of their meetings are available…"

Gee Tubby, two lies in one sentence. First, every law enforcement organization who looked at this thing said Hebron wasn’t guilty of anything! This includes the DA, Sheriff, State Police Detectives, Ethics Board… There was nothing illegal about the waterline why would there be a cover-up of any kind? Lie #2: Yes the minutes are available, I was there when they were created tubby! You were fired because our Financial Committee Chairman caught you overcharging us for work you could not document…period. Basicly you committed fraud!

Next: You might brag about the cases you have won, but I know there is a huge difference between winning a case and settling a case. Any chimpanzee can settle a case Tubby…all you have to do is cave in to the other side! Face facts…you cave in a lot!
The “Ten Year Case” you are talking about must have been started while you were in your “16 year tenure” with the board. If you’re such a fine attorney, why was the suit filed against the board in the first place? Why did the board keep you for all of those 16 years????? My guess is that you are an accomplished liar and con-man, Tubby! Or maybe it’s because…"City Attorney job is solely political and has never been based upon knowledge, experience or skill. The same goes for the contract lawyers. It's not what you know, its who you know."

Lastly you said this Tubby: “I am am unaware of any direct corrolation between one's weight and intelligence, but perhaps this cowardly genius can enlighten us. Anyway, I have lost a lot of weight so I must be smarter now.”

You incompetent, egotistical, no talent, tub of lard…you could loose 100 lbs and still not see your shoes! Winston Churchill once said… “Yes madam I am drunk, however you are ugly, and tomorrow I shall be sober…” Well tubby, to no matter how much weight you lose, tomorrow you will still be an attorney of limited intelligence and marginal ability.

Please allow me to explain. I call Greggy those "tubby" names because it drives him nuts, nothing more. Also, you might hear another guy here tell him to "put up or shut up..." that drives him up the wall too. He's also fond of telling everyone to come by his office and hear some "tapes" he's supposed to have. Ask him for a copy of those tapes, as I did, and see how fast he says no. Ask him to post the audio file on his website and he will say...I don't have the space.

The truth is what it is, and is it's own defense. Greg likes to massage the truth a little until it conforms with his twisted little view of how things should be. Then he pukes his twisted version out there for the public to see and challenges everyone to "check the record!" knowing that most of us either don't have the time, or don't know how to access the REAL facts.

I happen to know some of the real facts concerning the Water Works #3 because I was there.

I also know Tubby's...er GREG'S..method of operating because I have lived north of the Red River for 35 years.

If you believe Aymond's BS because I call him fat, then you become one of those seduced by his con-man act.

Remember, the truth is it's own defense.

ATTENTION - ATTENTION - ATTENTION

Does anyone have a grip on the situation with district 2& 4 and the election postponement?
I heard Kelvin was pushing to initiate a suit to challenge the election since there was a snafu on the correct maps provided to the registrar (which is probably bullshit). The source for governmental maps is the Rapides Area Planning Commission which is very particular about the veracity of their information before they publish a map and provide it to the registrar. Considering that Myron Lawson, Harry Silver, and Everett Hobbs have been conferring with Kelvin over the matter and want Kelvin to file an action over the objections of the mayor, I would say there is mischeif afoot as the aforementioned more than likely are beginning to realize their time is up. Everyone needs to beware of upcoming developments and be prepared to speak out as these folks are trying to disrupt the election for Districts 2&4. What say you??

Spanky, the Sherlock Homes of Cenla had reviewed "the evidence" that a liar, con-man, psychopathic, ego maniacal, idiot showed him and has declared this "evidence" to be real??? More so than the real cops who investigated this??

The very idea is laughable!

Spanky…did you know that Aymonds was tagged by the judicial review board about 8 years ago for tampering with documents and photos in a divorce case?

Oh, and one more thing. Concerning the Hebron water line thing that Tubby likes to crow about??? The ethics board DID come to a finding...no misconduct.

Spanky, if you really believe anything Aymonds says, you're an ignorant twit..

And to Anon 8:12 and 8:16 who are obviously the same poster and obviously tubby little Greggy boy…Nice try at slander…. Toney still pastors his church, Haily, Dupree, and Wes Hebron all resigned because they would not participate in railroading ROY Hebron when there was no evidence against him. It’s no secret that Lindsay and Hebron hate each other.

By the way, after the DA’s office gets finished with the Ward 10 Recreational Board, most of whom are Butch Lindsay’s appointments, Lindsay himself may be forced to resign. And did I mention that Lindsay and the sex offender Les Prestridge are best buddies? And did you know that Aymonds and Prestridge , along with Lindsay, put together the political plan to defeat Jim Hanna in the last election?

See Spanky, unless you have LIVED through this crap, like I have for the last 35 years, you don’t know nothing! Visiting Aymonds and looking over a few doctored photos, don’t make you an expert on the crap that goes on up here.

Anonymous said...

does aymonds even live in alexandria? i thought he lived in pineville. if so, he can't vote for the alexandria mayor. what gives?

Anonymous said...

Since you are such a funny guy, do you know what kind of birds don't fly? How about jailbirds? You are evidently not aware that the ethics investigation is still ongoing. You might want to make a phone call to the 225 area code and find out the truth.

Anonymous said...

One other thing, you may want to review some of the things that I have pointed out since January and what has come to pass, then decide if I am full of crap. I am not in the habit of being untruthful and can back it up.

Anonymous said...

Finally Anon 10:31:20 PM has proven what a lier he is and to what extent these people will lie. He wrote: " Haily, Dupree, and Wes Hebron all resigned because they would not participate in railroading ROY Hebron when there was no evidence against him."
Well here is the proof that he is a lier. Go to http://www.rppj.com/minutes04/JURY092004, which contain the minutes of the Rapides Parish Police Jury. In the Special Session of September 20, 2004, you can read the following:

On motion by Mr. Butch Lindsay, seconded by Mr. Joe Fuller and
Mr. Jerry Wood, to waive the thirty day announcement rule and replace
Mr. Wesley Hebron on the Waterworks District No. 3 Board, term expires
May 1, 2005, with Mr. Mike Byrnes. On vote the motion carried.
On motion by Mr. Butch Lindsay, seconded by Mr. Joe Fuller and
Mr. Jerry Wood, to waive the thirty day announcement rule and replace
Mr. Rich Dupree on the Waterworks District No. 3 Board, term expires May 1,
2006, with Mr. Eddie O'Bannon. On vote the motion carried.
On motion by Mr. Butch Lindsay, seconded by Mr. Joe Fuller and
Mr. Jerry Wood, to waive the thirty day announcement rule and replace
Mr. Otha Hailey on the Waterworks District No. 3 Board, term expires
October 14, 2007, with Mr. Jules Grandpierre. On vote the motion carried.

Stating that they resigned was a bald face lie, like the rest of what you said. Any idiot who can operate a telephone book can see that I live in Alexandra, and have never lived in Pineville. Also, I have never doctored any evidence in any kind of a case, nor have ever been investigated for such. Aslso, I had no interest or involvement in any police jury election for Ward 10.
Roger Toney is at his another Church, but only after he left the Pentacostal church in Ball.
Also call the Louisiana Ethics Board in Baton Rouge, and ask them for the status of claims pending against Roy Hebron and Tom David. Either they will tell you that they cannot legally give such information, or they will tell you that those are still ongoing.
I tell you what big boy, why don't you write these lies down and mail them to me with your name signed, and I will give you a chance to prove them in a court of law? There, I have proved that you are a lier, you have failed to do so against me. Spanky saw and heard the proof, so he also knows who the lier is.

To clarify my earlier statement on the District 2 & 4 election, there seems to be an attempt to halt the process by postponing the election until December. That proposal was made to Darrel Hickman and Marc Lampert who refused to accede to the ludicrous suggestion. Early voting has begun, just as on election day and will continue unless there is a judicial intervention. It would be a vile obstruction for any judge to issue an injunction to halt the election and a more prudent course to let it proceed to its finality and challenge any results on the alleged irregularity. The gang of four wants to create an electus interuptus and buy time until December to sway conditions to an outcome more favorable to them. Are there no lengths to which our current council members will disregard common decency and respect for the law to gain their personal goals? This matter should be pursued and the individuals, if found to have participated in a conspiracy to affect the outcome of the election by treachery, should be made an example of to the fullest extent of the law. Of course I would not expect any criminal action or investigation to arise from our officals at the parish level since they are not interested in protecting the public from political savagery, but a Justice Department complaint and investigation of any suit filed may reveal the true intent of the actions so mildly reported through our local media. You folks may really want to pay close attention to what is unfolding before your eyes.

"3 North Rapides water board members ousted
September 22, 2004 •• 1191 words •• ID: alx2004092209440211
By Bill Sumrall The Town Talk TIOGA - Political infighting has apparently led to the ouster of three Rapides Parish Waterworks District No. 3 board members. The controversy has some of its roots in an investigation into an unauthorized waterline off Dryden Lane to property owned by Ball Mayor Roy Hebron, which the district has since resolved by accepting it as a public waterline. Board president Otha Hailey and members Rich Dupree and Wes Hebron learned for certain Tuesday."

Dosn't sound like a resignation to me ?

Anonymous said...

I wonder if the candidates who serve in the present administration and on the present council will list the district map screwup as one of their proud accomplishments ?
Also, can other citizens be 2 months behind on their utility bills before being disconnected? Was there also an unpaid bill owed on the Bentley? If so, who will pay that, the new owners?

Anonymous said...

anon 9.43, thanks. i was thinking along those lines also.

Anonymous said...

Look for the council to try to block the district elections. They will do ANYTHING to try to keep the club together. A new councilman would jeapordize their total control of the city and would expose them to real scrutiny. We gotta have change. I hope Hickman and Lampert whip the shit out of the encumbants. That way at least the new mayor will have a chance. Let the elections go forward and they can sort it out later. It ain't the council's fight but they are trying to jump in to save their guys.

Anonymous said...

The law mandates that the elections go forward. The losers will then file challenges. If the difference in votes is greater than the number of disenfranchised voters, then the suits will fail. If its within the margin, the lawsuits may succeed. Despite the law, look for the incumbents to try an injunction on Monday.

Anonymous said...

The call asking whether you support Roy or Brewer was a voter ID call. It will identify Brewers voters so the camp can make sure those people get out and vote. Good campaign strategists typically do this in races.

Anonymous said...

harry will have forgotten all about this over the weekend. his wife had to tell him, again, last week he was running.

Anonymous said...

Hey genius,

Voter ID calls do not list only two candidates. They simply ask, "who do you intend to vote for next week"? This is a call from a group of business people with a ton of cash who have identified two candidates which they find acceptable. The poll is to see which of the two it will flush with cash for next Saturday.

Anonymous said...

OK, I bees so sorry mr. know it all. what's mo, I don't be carin.

Anonymous said...

i hear db won't show her own backers & supporters her latest poll. gotta wonder bout' that.

Anonymous said...

I thought it was of interest to note the headline of the Town Talk that states the "election is in limbo". That will not be a fact unless there is an injuction issued to stop the election or it is challenged after the fact which has not yet occurred. Is this yet another instance of slanted journalism?

Anonymous said...

If that's true, maybe that's why the business men had to run their own poll. sure bet they don't appreciate giving her their money and then getting cut out like that. must be really bad if it has to be hidden from backers.

Anonymous said...

Tubby, you're such an idiot. First you claim that there is all this under the table crap going on that nobody knows about, and you falsify information to support your claims.

Then you attempt to use public records, which you claim don't tell the real story, to support your whacko version.

Here's the real story...All three, Wes Hebron, Hailey, and Dupree told Butch Lindsay they would not go along with Linday's plan to drag Roy Hebron's name through the mud with no evidence. Lindsay told them that if they didn't do as he wanted he would remove them from the board. As a group, they told him to go ahead, and if they heard that he was indeed going to remove them, they would resign first. Lindsay beat them to the punch, however the trio announced their resignation before new members were seated.

As to your doctoring evidence, scream all you want to tubby. Anybody who knows Greg Aymonds knows you're a liar.

If there is any pending investigation against hebron or david, it ain't about the waterline, period. That issue is over, you lost your job over it, the issue established that you're a lying political hack.... Spin it anyway you want Tubby, the truth will come out in the next election when the Ball/Tioga community sends your political buddy Butch Lindsay packing.

You have two elected officials you seem to hate, fat boy, mayor of pineville and mayor of ball. Both were sent back into office without opposition. Seems like the people who know you best have chosen to ignore your lies. Don't you hate it when you're so ignored, Tubby?

Call me a liar all you want, doesn't bother me. Having you sue me doesn't bother me either. With your record in the courtroom, you're not much of a threat...

Does anyone have numbers from a poll that they are sharing with anyone in town? I've never seen a race where no polls get passed around. This is weird. You'd think the frontrunners would put that out there, whether that's db, roy or one of the blacks.

Anonymous said...

I hear that Brewer blew off the forum at Peabody last evening and her absence wasn't even noticed until one of the sponsors asked if she was OK. Now that's a bad omen. It's obvious that she "don't care for kullud folks" but how could she possibly hope to survive a run-off after alienating 51% of the population. I hope she has a money-back guarantee from that consultant of hers - Dr. Kevorkian.

Anonymous said...

Uh, no....I mean't 8:52 Anon regarding Roy Hebron.

Recent posts have spoken about a "businessmen's poll." For clarification, the poll is an ongoing sampling of voter reaction to the candidates on a weekly basis. Results are given to the group every Friday. Last week's numbers are not out yet, the latest results will be a shortened survey compiled next Monday thru Thursday.

Last week the survey had Roy with about 38%, Fuller with next with about 25%, and Brewer running neck and neck with Johnson with each having about 11%. Sams was at about 9% and CFS and Hammonds with about 3% each.

Survey says...Roy VS Fuller in the runoff, AS OF NOW. The survey also says this race is VERY volatile and can spin within 24 hours. Although I believe Roy VS Fuller is the way things will shake out, anything can happen.

On a completely different note. To Greg Aymond and his anonymous nemesis. The Hebron/Dupree/Hailey/Lindsay/Prestridge/Toney/Water Works #3/Secret Tapes and False Evidence issue is a "dead horse." Why continue to flail at the carcass?

Move on children, move on....

This post is directed to Mr. Aymond:

Sir, your anonymous detractor has already admitted that he enjoys prodding you because it's fun. He has already told everyone here that he considers you his favorite sport.

Why continue to give him ammunition?
You surely know by now that this is a battle you cannot win, he will never allow you to post anything about his side of the river without some sort of stinging rebuke...truthful or not.

Why not take away his weapons and cease posting about issues already dead?

The feathers and bones have spoken...

hey soothsayer! when you say "volatile", just how volatile do you mean?

Anonymous said...

answer me soothsayer or i am heading your way with goat entrails.

Anonymous said...

Biff, I wonder about the type of type of individual who would keep rotting goat entrails on hand. Presenting them to me is not necessary, I will be glad to explain "volatile."

Webster’s defines the term: “characterized by, or subject to, rapid or unexpected change…” I embrace this definition in my latest post. I believe that there are “operatives” working in Alexandria to obtain controversial information about the candidates. I believe that these people are employed by the Brewer, Fuller, Sams, and Roy camps. With so many people doing opposition research on so many candidates…anything could break in the waning days of the campaign. Therefore, poll numbers could rapidly change at any time.

I hope I have answered your inquiry, please keep the surplus goat parts safely incarcerated in your freezer.

Anonymous said...

Wonder if he uses male or female goat entrails?

Anonymous said...

soothsayer. thanks. i won't tell you how i know, but i can assure you sams is taking the high road, and will not be slinging mud in the final days. as for the goat entrails, i was of course, just kidding. actually it's the neighbor's cat.

To Soothsayer

Did you tell Lamar not to post anymore due to attacks upon him, or any other poster? Also, I notice that personal attacks and name calling on me seem to be accepted by many on this blog, so let me reciprocate.
I am calling that anon a chicken shit cowardly bastard. Put your allegations in writinging, sign them and mail to be and I will sue the shit out of you. Don't post your name on here, because the cowardly balless dumbass you are would probably use a fake name.
So Soothsayer, go back to your cave and read your bones, and don't presume to tell me what to do different from what you seem to not mind others to do. Now stick them bones up your ass.
Some of you people are amazing. Apparently you favor free speech or what topics can be discussed by just a few, and do not apply that equally to all. Water District 3 is a public body, supplies the water to the industries on the north side of the river, and involves the Town of Ball, City of Pineville and the Rapides Parish Police Jury. Therefore, those matters do involve politics in Cenla. And are you so nieve enough to believe these matters are over and have been investigated and dismissed just because the one being investigated told you so? And shame on any of you that do not want an investigation of political wrongdoing. Bottom line is that you can kiss my ass, I will continue to do what I am doing.
There, I have written in the language many of you do, with the hopes you can understand it.

Anonymous said...

Can we blame all this on Lamar's grandmother?

They just respond because he is so dispicable. He must thrive on public contempt. I don't attack him because he is obese or a KKK hate monger. I dislike him because he's dull. Read it and weep. John Maginnis' Fax Weekly today says Delores is firmly in first place with 38% according to a Verne Kennedy poll. Also, that she got in early and got the business establishment behind her and that Roy suffered because he would not commit to run early enough. Maginnis says Delores likely to be in runoff with a black. I'm sure Mr. Maginnis will get nasty phone calls from the Roy camp, but he'll have nothing to show Fax Weekly to dispute her lead. Plus, too late anyway. Publication already sent out.

Republican Frontrunner For Alexandria Mayor

The mayor's race in Alexandria could wind up like the primary in Shreveport, with a Republican leading a black Democrat into the runoff.

With the business community firmly behind her, Delores Brewer is touting her own wide lead over Roosevelt Johnson in a Verne Kennedy poll she commissioned. The campaign did not release numbers, but an earlier Kennedy poll showed her leading Johnson, 38-17 percent, with no other candidate in double figures.

Brewer, on leave as chief of staff for Mayor Ned Randolph, benefits from timing: hers good and Jacques Roy's bad. Roy, the only white Democrat in the race, missed out on a lot of support when he did not declare his candidacy until the day before qualifying.

Johnson emerged as the leading Democrat when Police Juror Joe Fuller, another late starter, failed to get traction.

The latest campaign finance report showed Brewer outspending Johnson, 10-1.

Hey Kelvin, Everitt, Harry, and Myron. I am making the call to the State's AG's office Monday morning to have you investigated for your role in the interruption of a sanctioned election. I realize you have a high powered gun slinger voting rights attorney coming to the rescue, but you are going to need more than that to fan the flames off of your sorry asses once the public knows the whole story. Once the election is over is the time to settle any perceived damage, not during the polling. Any way, lots of luck to your cause and you can tell us what is like to win the battle and lose the war when the dust settles.

Anonymous said...

spanky? have they taken any action on the two council seats? what's the news?

Anonymous said...

Not so fast. If Hobbs election is not held then there will be some ,although it might be small, number of blacks that would have gone for the counsil election pushed by the candidates that will not go to vote Just for Mayor and thus reduce black turnout.....and if the Harry Silver, garden district, charles Park election is not held there will likewise be less Garden District/ Silk Stocking voters...and you know what ALL of that translates into?....MORE FOR ROY!!!!...not that he may even need it ......It tells me that GOD wants Jacques to be Mayor!!!!......

Anonymous said...

Kelvin is bring in a high powered voting rights attorney to attempt top stop the polling and postpone the elction to sometime in November which is unnecessary and obstructive as they would be free to challenge the outcome and make their case then once all of the facts are available.

Anonymous said...

hmm thats an interesting theory. will 30 september ever get here?

Anonymous said...

spanky, sounds like a legal fee bonanza for someone.

Anonymous said...

Bear in mind that voting is occurring now and it would be like showing up at 12 noon on election day and blowing the whistle to stop instead of challenging the outcome.

Anonymous said...

This should NOT be an expense borne by the City of Alexandria

Anonymous said...

It is in the works right now. My question is why is the city attorney using city time and funds to pursue this matter? It is a matter for the voters to decide and if anyone feels disenfranchised, they may file suit to seek remedy. We all know this is a partisan attack on the process.

Anonymous said...

hey delores supporters. remember, i am a sams supporter. i don't take glee in seeing roy gut shot delores in front of the entire town. that aside i am sure delores' dad taught her not to lie, or at least not to lie twice in public, on tape. to see her tout "honesty" about made me puke.

Anonymous said...

someone has to file a suit from what we understand. this blog needs an insider from the clerk of court.

Anonymous said...

That is why Kelvin is bringing in an attorney from Baton Rouge to confer and attempt to file for injunctive releif. I say he has made a tragic miscalculation to think that the public will stand idly by while he and his cohorts attempt to pull this off.

Anonymous said...

we thought the suit had to be filed by a voter or candidate. how can the city file a suit?

Anonymous said...

Nothing has stopped Bridgette SANDESERS from doing anything they please thus far. That alone is one of my biggest gripes as Delores Brewer. This will be no different they will do whatever they please. Cause if you cross them you are biggot.

Anonymous said...

those weasels may try legal action, but i don't think it will get them anywhere. the election has already started and the wise thing for the court to do would be to let it go forward and sort it out later. didn't someone mention earlier kelvin has a hobbs sign in front of his house? he's hardly impartial if that is true. myron is savvy enough to know silvers and hobbs are toast, and i see his hands all over this.

Anonymous said...

spanky, this is getting so bizarre you would think we live in some third world shit-hole.

Anonymous said...

That is why this has escalated to this level, he is looking for a way to intervene. Beside that, Everitt would be a willing party to a suit. The problem I have is that they are attempting to seek injunctive releif, which would immediately stop the election process for those two seats. From the sketchy claims, there may be a basis for a suit and there may not be depending on how timely and correct each parties claims about the maps truly are. That is why I contend that the election, now that it is in process, should continue and be contested after the polling ends and not halted.

Anonymous said...

lol biff you might be on to something.

Anonymous said...

well the city could get a sock puppet to file suit with them pulling the strings in the background. if a suit is indeed filed then it needs to come out who is paying the legal fees.

Anonymous said...

The Town Talk is in the middle of this unfolding circumstance also. That is why everyone should look at how this is reported and be on guard for the slant they are going to put on this. They gave it a good shot with today's headline which was a bit misleading.

Anonymous said...

THIS would be the EXACT reason why i am voting for Jacques Roy. Unlike Delores Brewer who could not even stand up to these lying bastards but chose to lie herself, Jacque Roy will pop a cap in Brigette Sanders Ass the first day he is Mayor.

Anonymous said...

Lets just look at the history that Mr Sanders has for hiring attys for the City and how they have performed AFTER he hired them. NO, we have had enough of HIS bullshit

Had an interesting comment made to me by a Brewer supporter. She told me that she had been invoted to 2 or 3 or Delores neighborhood coffees..but that every one of them were durying the work day. She wondered what kind of people could come to such events during the work week. I think that observation alone is very telling about the people who are leading and controling Delores Brewer. They aint of us. They aint for us.
